How many books have you read this year so far? Do you set goals for yourself at the beginning of the year?
I set a goal of 20 books starting in April, so I got a late start but I am now up to 28 books. Being a parent that's huge haha! I'm so happy I've made some time this year for reading, which I really enjoy.

38 so far this year. Probably 1/3 of those have been audiobooks. I originally set a goal of 25 and later upped it to 45.

I read a bit at the beginning or the year, took a break and am back at it. I think I'm at 5 plus an audiobook? Haha. That's not much. Y'all are kicking my butt!

@Mrs. Sunshine: In the past several years I was lucky to read 3 books! It was so hard when my kids were younger, it was survival mode for a few years so sleep came before anything else, when given the chance.

So far, 3, lol. One is a kids book on September 11th that I read in a night, the other two were books that I picked up after not having looked at them in a year.
I really like to read, I just have majorly fallen off the wagon.

I'm at 53 books this year - but reading is one way I connect with people (book clubs) and it's also my stress relief, so I read after bedtime every day.

30, probably? A friend of mine opened up a comic book store, so I've gotten in to an awesome new world of comic books and graphic novels.

I have absolutely no idea. I read very quickly and am usually reading multiple books at once. Definitely more than one per week. If I had to guess, I'd say at least 50, but possibly more.

You guys are rocking! I set a goal of one book a week when I was goal setting for 2016 back in January, but I didn't plan on getting a new job that took me from commuting via metro train to driving - which totally drove down my average! I don't think I've read one book since starting my new job in May 
ETA: I think my average is only ten this year so far! eek!
This is a silly question, but is it possible to 'rent' audio books for my iPhone (to play via bluetooth)? Does anyone know offhand?

@Mrs. Milk: if you're a member of a library, you can sign up for overdrive or maybe hoopla (if your library is part of it) and then you can borrow audiobooks. Our county library system is kinda rural-ish so I think I have better luck borrowing audiobooks than some other places but it's worth a shot!
I read a lot and always have an audiobook and a regular book going but I've been reading a longer series over the summer which is slow going so I'm taking my time. I'm at 50 books for the year.
Reading is a priority for me bc I love it (hi, I'm an English teacher) and I can't go to sleep without reading a little.

Not counting children's books, maybe ten, and I'm proud of myself because I think I managed just one last year. A big boo to the people that closed my local library for repairs for a full year (they could have done the work in three months IMHO), and a big thank you to kind people that leave books lying around in public when they've read them and don't want them any more! Someone started doing that in my office and now we have quite a book exchange going!
