Were there any milestones that you felt were out of order for your LO?
DS started crawling yesterday. He is not sitting unassisted yet.

Not necessarily out of order, but she learned to crawl and pull up to standing on the same day, and the very next day, she crawled all the way up the stairs multiple times in a row. I thought there would be time in between those milestones.

DD2 pulled up before she crawled.
DD3 rolled back to belly first. -
She rolled back to belly first, but we don't put her in positions she can't get into on her own (so no tummy time), so she couldn't have done it "right." She just started sitting the day before yesterday, and I suspect she'll be pulling up before she crawls (if she crawls at all). She gets around by rolling so well that I'm not sure if she'll just go straight to walking.

My 4 month old can stand on his own with a little balance support but barely coos or babbles.

My DS also didn't sit unassisted before crawling - I'm pretty sure he had the ability, but he just didn't have the motivation. After crawling for a couple weeks, he started sitting unassisted like a complete pro for long periods of time.

Sits unassisted for a super long time - like 30 minutes but doesn't roll in either direction. He's six months and has been sitting like that for about a month

Yup, my daughter crawled right at 6 months, started pulling up at 7 months, and now, at 8 months, is finally sitting up, as well as cruising and taking assisted steps. She just waited until she was completely secure and balanced to start sitting.

DD started sitting and then pulling up way before rolling. She didn't care to roll until she was 9 months. She still won't unless I'm changing her before bed... then she rolls all over the bed and makes sure I can't get her diaper on straight

DD's figuring out crawling, pulling up, and cruising all at the same time right now.

DD was sitting unassisted pretty good by 5-6 months, by about 9 months was pulling up on stuff, but it took until 10 months for her to crawl!! Otherwise she would just roll everywhere!

@bluestriped bee: Yeah, DS rolled the "wrong" way first at under 3 months (back to front)! He still has not mastered front to back ... at 5.5 months. Haha. Oh well!

@LindsayLou: OMG crawling at 6 months! My DS (5.5 months) will do that "rocking" thing babies do before they crawl but I thought we had awhile because he cannot sit up by himself yet. Uh oh!

@wrkbrk: Right?! I figured she still had a while to go, since she wasn't sitting unassisted, and wasn't even doing the rocking thing yet. She just took off one day and hasn't stopped since. Now she's starting to climb and we really can't keep up. She was standing on a wipes box yesterday, trying to use it as a step to climb onto a chair.

T sat upright and started crawling on the same day.

D was by the book as far as order goes, though on the late end of most.
A will likely be rolling back to belly very soon (3m). She rolled belly to back 2x in one day at 4 weeks, but it appears that was just a fluke - she hasn't come close since. But she is SUPER close to rolling back to belly.

LO rolled back to belly first (but then belly to back later in the day. He also crawled before he could sit unassisted.

Dd was sitting up unassisted and standing while holding on to things before consistently rolling

It's so great reading everyone's LO's out of order milestones. Very interesting reading this thread.

My daughter crawled way before she could sit unassisted. I think it took her so long to learn how to sit properly because she wanted to crawl instead!
