Help! On regular occasions, my 18mo has been waking up too early because his overnight diaper leaked.
He's 24 lbs, in size 4 during the day and size 5 Huggies overnights at night.
Time to size up? He seems too small for that. The leaks are out the side, not sure if a diaper doubler pad would help.

We had this around then. We just cut back on fluids before bed and it helped. You can put a cloth cover over the nighttime diapers to help if you want.

Which Huggies are you using? My 27lber (14.5month) is in sz 6 overnight in the Huggies little movers. We were having serious leak issues untill we moved to the Huggies little movers. They do look big on him, but he's been using them for about 2 months now with no issues.

We used diaper pads for a stretch of time around the same. It really helped.

@jackiedavis87 I use the Huggies overnights. Maybe we need to size up to 6's. He's not as heavy as your LO but he's pretty long (34 in.) so maybe that is contributing.
@mrs. carrot I bought diaper pads a few months ago for the same problem (back then, switching brands helped). But I think I will try a pad tonight and see if that makes a difference before I go up in sizes.

We were dealing with a lot of leaks for a while, and i think our issue was I wasn't making the overnight diapers tight enough, especially on the sides/legs, it seemed like there was room for pee to escape. Maybe try making sure the diaper is really snug, and all of the ruffles are out.

Either size up (my 25 lb 2 y.o. has been wearing huggies overnight size 6 for months now), or get some sposie pads. Those size 6 diapers can hold A LOT of pee.

Sposie inserts are the best!!! My gargantuan 8 month old wears size 5 during the day and we sized up to size 6 overnight (Pampers Baby Dry) plus the pads. No more leaks!
