Have you ever had to deal with nighttime leaky diapers? For the past 3 days, my LO would wake up with a leaky diaper. We've tried buying the nighttime diapers, going one size up, and restricting water consumption before bed. Nothing works! Anyone have any suggestions?

You may have to wake up and change the diaper
The other suggestion is putting a thick training pant over the diaper so that the leak stays contained.

you can try double diapering, or putting a maxi pad inside the diaper!
we use huggies overnights and have never had a problem with leaks.

@Mrs. Bee: I have never heard of using a maxi pad! Have you actually tried this? Does it work well?!

@junebugmama: sigh...that's what I was hoping to avoid....nighttime changes. =\ But I guess if that's what it takes, that's what we'll have to do.
@Mrs Bee: That's hilarious! A Maxi Pad in a diaper...never thought of doing that! I wonder if that actually would work?

Yes, I've heard to put disposable diaper inserts (that cloth diaperers use) inside the overnight diaper. Huggies Overnights work well for us but it sounds like you need some backup!

I like it when people actually come back and give an update on "what happened". So.....
We ended up double diapering him one night. We had a bunch of extra diapers so we thought we'd give it a shot. If that didn't work, we were planning on buying the diaper inserts like @Mrs.Bee suggested. Well, the double diapering worked! It's been 4 nights now and no more leaks! We put him in Huggies Overnights (since they fit snugger than his regular diapers) and then placed an oversized diaper on top of the overnights. Works like a charm!!!
