I was reading a local newspaper article about a woman who gave birth in a local ice cream shop parking lot. She decided at 2 weeks over due to go Trick or Treating an hour away and couldn't make it home in time (she was planning on a home birth.) I was shocked that at being so overdue that she would venture so far from home! That's courageous! What is the craziest birth story you've heard lately?

@LuLu Mom: My cousin delivered her 3rd baby in the car parked right out front of the hospital's emergency lane. She had contractions the night before but wanted to wait it out for a med-free delivery and go to the hospital during the delivery only. Mommy and baby were (and are) both healthy. This was 4 years ago.

There was a video on FB the other day about this couple en route to the hospital, but she couldn't wait so she delivered her baby in the car with her hubby.

My second cousin had her third baby in her toilet at home.

My MIL was just telling me about a friend who went to the hospital for her 3rd and while the nurse left to go get an anesthesiologist to give her an epidural, she suddenly had to push and she had the baby unattended on the bed. The nurse came back in and she was holding the baby.
