My sister just told me about the Lush shampoo “bar” that is kept in a metal tin instead of plastic bottle. I’ve also started buying wooden toothbrushes and have a swell water bottle.
What other products do you all use to cut down on plastics? I haven’t tried the lush bar shampoo yet and I’m sure it’s adequate but my hair is color treated and damaged so I especially need heavy conditioners. Any tips for this?

We use a set of stainless steel straws for our drinks. They come with long brushes to clean the inside.
We also have reusable snack bags from bumkins.

I absolutely love these etee food wraps! I like that they actually form around food similar to the way plastic wrap would. I find some beeswax ones aren't as flexible.

I also recently got some Stasher food bags and I use them in place of zip lock bags for my chicken in the freezer. I love that they can go in the dishwasher to be cleaned!

I haven't bit the bullet to purchase any yet, but we mostly use pyrex anyways. I'm hoping maybe for my birthday, as we are on a tight budget right now!

I committed to being zero waste with the girls lunches (we're going from daycare providing everything, to me providing everything this fall) so I am making the change from day one.
I'm using PlanetBox and LunchBot boxes - I also use these for myself. Itzy Ritzy reusable bags for snacks, sandwiches, etc. And Foogo food jars for warm foods.
I also use a lot of Ball Jars around the house instead of plastic containers.

I am following stasher bags on social media and totally want some but haven’t gone ahead with it yet! They look awesome and also can be used for cooking.
