This is more of a question for those who pump at work. I'm starting an internship soon and I'm wondering the best way to pack up my pumping supplies and the rest of the stuff I'll need without feeling like I'm lugging around so much stuff. I have a PISA Backpack, so obviously be bringing the backpack with me. I'm just wondering if I should try to fit my purse items in the backpack, so I have less stuff to carry, or if it's a better idea to carry a seperate purse. I'll have to bring a couple textbooks with me, so I'm just not sure the best way to go. Also, are there any other things I need to bring with me for pumping? (other than the pump, bottles, freezer pack, etc) I've only ever pumped at home so I want to make sure I have everything.

I have been thinking about asking this as well.
I started back at work this week and have been feeling very cluttered. Here is what I have been doing with my Medela Freestyle stuff:
Freestyle Tote Bag (really could be any tote bag though)
- Pump
- Charger
- 6 empty bottles (pump 3 times at work) with lids (these are just thrown in the bag and are annoying)
- Medela cooler with pump parts and paper towel (store in fridge after rinsing after each pumping session, wash at night)Cooler/Lunch Box that holds 6 cans
- ice pack
- filled bottles for drop off at day care
- holds filled bottles on the way home from workPurse
- Holds personal items and my lunch -
I carried a purse and my pump case to work before I quit and started working for myself. Depending on how long you work for, you don't have to bring a freezer packâyou can leave breastmilk at room temperature for 6-10 hours. If your backpack has room for the storage containers, then you could pump and simply cap them and put them back in your pack and not worry about having a freezer pack to take up extra room.
If you have room in your pack, I'd bring a towel or a washcloth, either for wiping off your pump pieces or just in case you have a spill. I also brought lanolin at first because I just didn't find pumping comfortable, but I eventually adjusted and didn't need it anymore.

I have the PISA backpack. Love it but hate to lug it. I carry that, my purse, and my lunch bag that also holds random work things. I'm the forgetful type so I also put a few Lansinoh milk bags in the side in case I forget a bottle lid.
I also sewed a very simple cloth bag (like a ziploc but only a flap closes it) to hold my semi-dry things because sometimes I don't have time to dry every single part after I rinse it. *Lunch time is crunch time. Also, I don't want to waste ziplocs or stuff it with a paper towel everytime. I just rinse the plastics and throw it in the breathable fabric bag and into the backpack. Then I can wash the fabric bag every once in awhile. -
@808love: that's a great idea about a fabric bag. I hate damp things sitting in a ziplock.
