I think thats a mom call. You have to gauge your ability to keep him home (probably most comfortable for him).

I probably would keep him home, since you have the ability to.

If he seems miserable, keep him home and go to the doctor. If he's happy enough, I would take him in.

I only say doctor because my youngest is ear infection prone. He spent the week with a runny nose and got worse over the weekend. After doing a steam bath, the runny nose didn't stop, so I took him in. He has a double ear infection and will be seeing an ENT in about a month for the tubes talk.

I'd send him in if he's behaving normally.

Btw, I hear you on the daycare colds! LO2 started at the beginning of the month and is already on his second cold.

I would have kept my son home, no question. I always have been very conservative on that front.

This is for sure a mom call, and I sympathize with the mom guilt element of sending your LO to daycare when he/she isn't feeling 100%. For what it's worth, I also just recently transitioned LO into daycare (part-time), and I took her to the doctor last week for a mild rash. The pediatrician, who has two LOs under 4, said that she was probably the worst "offender" for medicating her mildly under the weather LOs with motrin and sending them to daycare, despite the daycare sick day guidelines (which the ped noted just make no sense in terms of when bugs are actually spread-able). She told me to go ahead and drop my LO at daycare after our appointment - her permission/validation helped somewhat with my mommy guilt, so I wanted to share with you!
