Has anyone heard of this? This is what some call the baby you have after you lose one or miscarry. The weird thing is I've seen rainbows or prism colors for the last three mornings while going to work. When I heard this I told myself it was our daughter saying hi! Now I wonder if she is telling me not to worry or something. It's been comforting.

Yes! I heard that a lot on another board I was on before HB. It's such a sweet term and really it IS like a rainbow after a storm. {hugs} That's awesome you saw so many rainbows this week!

I have heard of it through a friend. She was a member of a board on another site after her miscarriage.

Yup I've heard of it. That's what I called my son when I was pregnant with him after our loss. That's awesome that you keep seeing rainbows I def think it was an sign from your daughter.

It is so sweet! She definitely is saying hi to you. It also makes me smile because I am my mom's rainbow baby. Now that I am a mother myself, that seems even more special!

What a beautiful sentiment! I haven't heard of it before but definitely think all of the rainbows you've seen this week are your daughter smiling down on you. This seriously warms my heart and gets me a bit teary, the whole idea is just beautiful.

My mother and grandmother are both deceased, and shortly after I found out I was pregnant I had the sweetest dream about them. The three of us were sitting on my grandmother's bed watching a movie, (as we often did) and my mom was rubbing my feet and my grandmother was smiling at me, and in the dream I felt warm and fuzzy and knew they were both so happy for me and excited about the baby. It was such a relief for me to feel like they were sending me their love, at a time when a woman would naturally seek out advice or comfort from women in the family. -
My twins are my rainbow babies and I hope you get yours.

I have heard this term before - a friend lost her baby a couple hours after delivering (full term) they knew the baby wasn't going to survive but she continued to carry until she went into labor, and they got an hour or so with him. So sad. She has a little girl now - her rainbow baby, and another on the way!
