I read about 35 pages of "The Help." Why only 35? I downloaded the preview on ibooks, but didn't wanna buy it. It was pretty good and I wanted to continue reading.. just didn't wanna pay $9.99 for it

I love to read, but post baby I find I don't have the time, so I end up reading nonfiction mostly because I can pick it up whenever and not have to remember plots and characters.

Right now, I am reading Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson. It's the story of the English language, fascinating!

@Looch - I am also reading a Bill Bryson, At Home. I always pick up one of his books when I can't decide what else to read.

Before At Home, I read the Hunger Games series, highly recommend!

I read The Help a while ago and thought it was just OK. I know a lot of people who really liked it, though.

i have the Tiny Fey's "Bossy pants" and the three "hunger games" books to read. ive been too lazy to start any of them!

Life of Pi, Little Bee, Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Art of Racing in the Rain, The Help, Cutting for Stone, Blind Faith were all great Kindle reads!

The stand-out book to me lately was Room by Emma Donaghue... the narrator is a five-year-old boy so the reading isn't too full on, even though the content is heavy.

I love big long saga books (Penny Vincenzi for example) and am dying to settle in during the holidays and read Bryce Courtenay's "Solomon's Song" after devouring "The Potato Factory" and "Tommo and Hawk" from the school library.

I'm also very keen to get "The Wild Rose", the third novel in the Rose series by Jennifer Donnelly, but I'm yet to see it in paperback and would love to add it to my collection. OCD bookworm, who me?

Just Kids by Patti Smith was incredible! Also, interesting timing with the closing of the Chelsea Hotel. I am almost finished with Kick Me: Adventures in Adolescence by Paul Feig (creator of the show Freaks and Geeks), and it has been really hilarious. I also loved Role Models by John Waters.

The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak - A Holocaust novel from a young French girl's perspective. Beautifully written!

I just downloaded The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks...excited to find time to start it.

Just finished Girl in Translation and The Piano Teacher, both were really good! Now I'm reading Simon Pegg's autobiography, Nerd do Well

@ sorrycharlie: I loved the Sookie Stackhouse novels as well! Totally a guilty pleasure and actually some of the better vampire books I've read.

I just finished reading the Millenium Trilogy! So fantastic. Some of the best books I've ever read. I didn't want them to end at all. The first movie comes out on December 21 and I'm SO EXCITED to go see if they did a good job!
