This is part of Australia's rear facing campaign. I don't know if anyone has shared this video on here before, but I came across it on facebook and found it helpful.

Thank you... I saw a similar YouTube video a few years ago, and I knew then that I just had to RF for as long as possible. And we did until she was almost 4 yo!!

Wow, I'm in Australia and have never seen anything even remotely close to what could be called a rear facing campaign! The law here is six months and that's what pretty much everyone does - nearly everyone I come across turns their babies sometime between six months and one year. We'll be keeping LO rear facing as long as possible, but I a, really happy to see that there is a campaign of some sort starting as I think six months is far too young to turn babies around! Thanks for sharing!

@SAHM0811: Awesome!
@Ree723: Yeah, looks like that video was published toward the end of last year, hopefully there is a stronger push in the area because 6 months is crazy!

Great video! We dont have babes yet, but I know we will be big proponents of rear facing for longer!

Thanks for sharing! I was just discussing this with a bunch of mom friends with babies around 1 year. Some ant to turn their babies at one year, some want to wait longer. I'm in the longer camp. I don't care if it's "more fun" to have the baby facing forward. Safety first.

I couldn't imagine turning my LO at one, especially after watching this video.

Love this. I have this video favourited on youtube since I'm sick of explaining to people why we decided to keep her rear facing.
