@beloved: @nursedmb: @adira: which motorola one do you have? We had no problem with ours for 3 years until I dropped the parent unit on the hard floor, but I'm reading a lot of bad reviews on the newer models.

If you or someone you know is tech savvy you can try an ip camera like foscam. They are more more inexpensive. Ours is wired to our home network and we have apps on all of our devices and computers. We love it. Great AV quality too. You can even remotely log in from work to the IP address and view the camera feed.

@BeachMama: Like @beloved: We got ours in 2012 too, and is similar to the one she linked. I'm not sure how good the newer versions are!
