If your baby liked a certain brand pacifier did they like the same type of bottle?
For my son this worked. He finally took the MAM paci and then finally took the MAM bottle.
This baby likes the soothie pacifiers but I'm not sure what is the most similar bottle.

Never thought of this. We used Medela bottles and mostly Nuk but also other random pacifiers.

i also never made this connection, but yes. We use avent natural glass bottles and avent freeflow pacifiers.

@T.H.O.U.: we used Playtex bottlea and Mam binkies. I pumped into cheapie Gerber bottles, and those nipples are just like Soothies!

@SweetCaroline: aren't the Gerber the standard old fashioned bottle shape. I feel like the soothies aren't as triangular shaped.

@T.H.O.U.: Hmmm. We've used Avent soothies pacis for both kids and both did or do fine with the Avent Naturals bottles. Didn't even think about the correlation.

DD uses Avent Soothies and Avent Naturals. They're the only ones she'll take... never made the connection.

@T.H.O.U.: not sure if they make them anymore but Soothie has/had bottles - DS used both soothie pacifier and soothie bottle

I WISH my bottle brand made pacifiers...!!! We use the Lasinoh mOmma bottles, they have a wide triangular shaped nipple. If anyone knows of a pacifier shaped like this, let me know...

Honestly I think it was the fact that it was the same brand (so same type silicone) that finally led my DD to drink from a bottle. We use MAM perfect pacifiers and used the MAM anti-colic bottles.

Both of mine were picky about pacifiers but would take any bottle/nipple.

My son was a bottle refuser and this kinda worked for us. He liked Mam pacifiers so we also tried Mam bottles and had some limited success. He still pretty much never took a bottle, but if we could get him to drink an ounce here or there, it was always the Mam.

I thought this would be an issue, too. My baby uses the soothie pacifiers and then has no issue when we give her a Kiinde bottle.

DS1 never took a paci, but used Dr. Brown's bottles.
DS2 prefers to suck his fingers, but will use a MAM paci if I give him one. My Dr. Brown bottles started leaking everywhere so I tried a MAM bottle and DS2 took to it like a champ so we switched. So I guess there's some correlation there? Either way, I bought a MAM sippy transition cup to have on hand for him.

No relations; DD used (or sadly, still uses) MAM paci's (and Avent too), and took Avent bottles.

Yes! Ds1 only took Mam/Mam.
Ds2 wouldn't take Mam pacis or bottles at first. He liked soothies, and dr Browns bottles. Eventually, he started taking the Mam pacis, then the bottles.
