Oh husbands...
We had a similar problem this week
I'd probably keep it. Shred it, freeze it, then thaw it and fry the heck out of it with some bbq sauce and use it for tacos/burritos.

I don't mess with chicken, I would throw it out. I would also be very annoyed with said husband (and this is totally something mine would do too!)

this happened to my DH in college. One of his roommates left out leftover chicken strips in a go-box on the counter overnight, then the next mornign another roommate saw it and put it in the fridge. Then my DH woke up and saw chicken strips in the fridge, heated them up, and took one bite before realizing they tasted funky. He had terrible food poisoning for 3 days, and didn't feel hungry for 2 months but would eat because he "was supposed to". On the plus side, he apparently used to be a bit chubby and never was after that again

@blackbird: @Meowkers: @hotchildinthecity: He kept saying, "I thought you'd see it when you got home." I'm not sure why that means he couldn't have stuck it in the fridge but whatever. At least we got to eat half of it.
