DH and I never agreed on cloth diapering and my bumGenius 4.0 stash has been packed away for a year now. It's time to let someone else use these diapers. I have 19 and posted on a local CD Facebook group that I'm selling them $10/each or $150 for the stash. A lady wrote me back and told me that because I have a few hard to find prints (Maathai, Irwin, Retail Therapy and Oops) I should be asking for more because these four prints themselves could sell for $150 total. Is that true? I'm not looking to make a lot of money here, just get rid of the diapers and get some cash for them but I don't want to sell them for waaaaay less than they are worth.

@Katrocap: I definitely think they are pricier. If I were you, I'd list those 5 on Ebay or conduct an auction on the local page. Then it's pressure off you to price them!

@scg00387: Thanks so much for your response and the idea of listing them on ebay. It seems that the woman who offered to buy them on the local site might have plans to resell them at a much higher price, so I'm not going to sell them to her at a lowball price.

@Katrocap: yeah, I've seen a lot of diapers on eBay, surprisingly. You may be able to get more for them, I think! Also, on eBay, you will be less likely to have people looking to turn a profit on you, since your bidders will likely legitimately want the diapers for themselves!

Just out of curiosity are 4.0 the all in one kind? I cloth diaper and embarrassingly don't know what kind I have ( they are bum genius, snaps and have the sewn in type inserts ) If they are the same as mine I may take them off your hands if you want to sell them still . Ps not the hard to find prints, by all means sell those on eBay if you can make more

You could make some nice cash! I sold my Jules for cluse to $80 and a few of the HTF Artist Series for $60-$70. I think my Irwin and Maathai went for $30-$40 if I remember correctly. I listed mine on eBay though. Some of the FB groups get weird about asking high prices (I still got talked shit about in the FB groups even though I had set my starting price low on eBay!).
ETA: I think my Oops went for around $40 as well.

@googly-eyes: Yeah, it can get nuts, there's a huge group that think it's totally wrong to sell for that much and you should list cheap to "help the mamas out," then there's the people that figure, "shit, it's in high demand, why WOULDNT you make money off if then if there's someone willing to pay?!" Can you guess where I fell?
@loveisstrange: Seriously, do it! The red and light blue are in high demand, the other three not quite as much (they re-released those three recently).

@ms.janedoe: Thanks for the info. It's definitely good to know what they are worth, mainly because this one FB group (that I have now left) seems to have a lot of members that resell diapers.
@loveisstrange: Go for it! My diapers have been sitting in storage for a year - I had no idea we were sitting on such a gold mine.
@mrs.tea: They are all bumGenius 4.0 all-in-one. Mostly velcro but a few snaps. PM me you are interested; I'd be happy to discuss selling them to you. I try to check HB a few times a day, so if I don't get back to you right away, that's why.

It seriously blows my mind what some of them go for. I'm on a BG buy/sell/swap group and to see what some are listed (and sell!) for is nuts.
I don't have many prints (just 3) but I know where to sell 'em!

The price of the HTF BG prints shocks me I just can't imagine. Then again I also have the attitude that they're just diapers. I do own Jules and the re-released artist series but I paid regular price for them.

Thanks to everyone for their input! Just wanted to share an update ... I sold four BG diapers on eBay and this is what I got:
Maathai: $46
Irvin: $42
Oops: $29
Retail Therapy: $27The Irvin probably could have gone for more but it was the first one I listed and I wasn't sure it would even sell so I put $42 as the buy-it-now price. It sold within an hour.
