@delight: it has been my experience that extremely early betas are baaaaad. Try to make it to beyond 4w!!

@sslm: yes I've had bad early betas too. I'm planning on going on 16 & 18dpo. I hate beta hell and don't want to needlessly subject myself. I think my FRER isn't too bad for 10dpo so I am hopeful this works out.

I haven't tested again. I'm too scared to see a BFN. My temp is still above coverline and AF is due to arrive friday. Not really having any symptoms beside moodiness and cramping. Ughhh.

    @delight: Congratulations!

IUI#2 is done. Spermcount post wash was 51 million. Not as good as last time, but still plenty. I start prednisone Friday, ovidrel booster Sunday, progesterone in one week. My beta is 9/18.

@LoveHope: oh I've tested twice, and two bfn. I have found out that I cannot keep tests in the house or I will just pee on them. I'm a true POAS addict. My period is due Thursday and my tests were done evening and 8dpo and 9dpo. Still have hope but no true symptoms either.
We are still in it! 😌

@LibbyLou: Yes, we certainly are. I'm having some pink spotting today which looks a lot like pre-AF spotting. I'm in such a weird mood today today. I'm holding on to the little hope I have left. How many DPO are you today?

@LoveHope: I'm officially out, so onto IVF. I took a pregnancy test again this morning, just so that I was sure since AF wasn't full fledged yet. I cannot believe that we have to pull out the big guns, but at the same time thankful that we even have this option. Our appointment with our RE is on the 16th and hope that she will let us begin ASAP.

Dr called me back with my progesterone results and tests confirmed I ovulated. I also checked progesterone levels during follicular phase and levels were normal. They want to start me on Clomid but I'm ovulating so why Clomid. Anyone have any experience with this?
It's so cruel and frustrating to be labeled as having "unexplained infertility". Wtf! Everything looks good yet so much difficulty. It's so unfair. I'm not really sure what my next steps are. I'll wait until Friday to see what I'm going to do next.

@northstar: I'm sorry that this month didn't work out for you. It's really wonderful that you have the IVF option and the program you told us about its so great. It's unfair that so many of us have to resort to costly treatments but if the end result is everything we want, then its so worth it.

@LoveHope: ok - so, I'm confused. They are saying you ovulated and still want you to do clomid?! wha?? Or, are you saying that if this cycle doesn't work, then they want to start you on clomid? If that is the case, I have done that. I ovulate on my own, but did two cycles of clomid, trigger shot and IUI. The rationale is to get more than one good follicle (aka, a better chance). Clomid was only $17 for me, so honestly, if it gives you a better chance, it's a cheap thing to try.

    Thanks for the good thoughts

@AmeliaBedilia: That's still a ton of sperm! Fx!

@NorthStar: So sorry to hear. There are so many crappy aspects to IVF, but the one BIG positive is that you're exponentially increasing your chances of a BFP! Will be keeping you in my thoughts.

@LoveHope: The theory is that Clomid can give a little "boost" by making your ovulation "stronger" and/or helping with timing. Hope it does the trick for you!

  26. LibbyLou

    kiwi / 739 posts

@LoveHope: I'm 10dpo. I was also put on clomid even though I ovulate. When I got labs done, I was on the low side of normal- so even though I ovulated it was weak. I didn't ask clarification on that but I took it to mean that my egg quality could be better? As you know, I got KU on clomid in May so I am all for it! I had zero symptoms with it too.

  27. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@NorthStar: Yeah that's why I was confused too but if it gives me a better chance than what do I have to lose. My dr says that if AF comes friday than she suggests I begin Clomid next cycle.

  28. NorthStar

    pear / 1881 posts

@LoveHope: yeah, it doesn't hurt to try it. I would maybe ask them to put you on progesterone, though. Clomid can thin your lining. I didn't get put on it and although they never said my lining was thin, my periods were pretty weak. I didn't have any symptoms with the clomid, either, except my ovaries were sore the day leading up to ovulation. Some women do get crazy symptoms..

Based on the ovidrel, I should ovulate 5:30-9:30am today. Both follicles are on the right. I've been having right lower discomfort for the past hour and 45 minutes. I have never noticed ovulation pains before. Has anyone else had anything similar?

  31. NorthStar

    pear / 1881 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: yeah, when I was taking Clomid and even on the injectables, I would get uncomfortable up until I ovulated. I think that it's very normal.

  32. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@NorthStar: I'm only having discomfort with ovulation, not prior.

  33. LibbyLou

    kiwi / 739 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: I did on clomid. My only symptom was pain on lower left about 30hrs after a positive opk. It gets crazy how intuned with your body you can get.

Period is suppose to start today-well I think. My cycles go 23-28days, today is CD26, 10dpo. Don't want to see another bfn so trying to wait one more day!

  34. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@LibbyLou: I'm waiting as well. I haven't tested. AF is supposed to arrive between today/tomorrow. I'm having AF symptoms

  35. LoveHope

    kiwi / 689 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: I usually feel cramps in one side during ovulation.

  36. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@LoveHope: same thing happened (is happening?) to me. I got pregnant on 100mg if clomid, so it definitely helped me! Like others said, it helps give you a stronger O, whatever that means. Can't hurt to try though!

  37. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@LoveHope: clomid can give a stronger ovulation, and lengthen the luteal phase. You often get more follicles which increases the odds.

  38. LibbyLou

    kiwi / 739 posts

@LoveHope: ugh. last week I was sure I was pregnant. I had cramping waking me up, felt off. This entire week I've felt nothing/normal! This is my first tracking cycle since ectopic so high chance my cycle is just longer. I already got a BFN two days ago so thinking this isn't my month as well.
Just wait and see, I hate the waiting!

  39. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

For those of you with ovulation pains, how
Long do they last? It's been almost four hours, and almost 42 hours after ovidrel. I had two mature follicles and not sure if that would Make ovulation longer.
