September POAS 6+ months

@KittySunshine: Glad you have a treatable diagnosis!

CD5 of an unlikely cycle. I leave for a work conference early CD11, and return late on CD15. What terrible timing! I typically O CD15 on my own, so I'm hoping for a late ovulation so we still have a chance. This might be God telling me that I need to let go. I'm trying to let it go and not expect anything this cycle.

@AmeliaBedilia: timing can be so frustrating. Me and DH both have unpredictable work schedules and we missed my fertile window this month. I can be traveling for work or he could be gone for a week at a time. It drives me insane! The only good part is I'm a little less crazy* in the tww.
I have been trying to just think of friends I know who are 3-4months younger or older than me. While time seems so of the essence to us, when our kids are older, this delay really is insignificant.

    * less crazy meaning googling average life span of sperm and counting and recounting how long it was between sex and ovulation.

@KittySunshine: I know PCOS isn't easy but at least you have a diagnosis and can work toward beating it so you can get your BFP!

@LibbyLou: I love your definition of "less crazy"!

@AmeliaBedilia: just try when you can this cycle and otherwise enjoy a cycle "off". That's all you can do.

@KittySunshine: There have been times in my lengthy unexplained IF journey where I've wished can I had a diagnosis of pcos because those pcos girls are always seeming to get pregnant with the help of a little medicine that also, coincidentally, made them lose weight! I am just being facetious, but it's true that at least you will know how to proceed in a way that can hopefully help.

    How is everyone doing?

I'm hanging out in the TWW and over-analyzing every symptom, as usual! AF isn't due until 9/30 so I won't POAS (if AF doesn't show) until October...2nd, maybe?

  8. KittySunshine

    olive / 50 posts

@LoveHope: @agold: Thanks to both of you! You have given me hope. I've read a bit about pcos girls on the board using femara, Clomid or metformin, so I'm curious what my OB will recommend.

@doxielove: We are almost twins this cycle. I finally confirmed ovulation a few days ago. My new poas date is Oct 1.

@KittySunshine: I'm so sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but so glad that means they can come up with a plan for you!

Sorry for being MIA, I was traveling on a work trip and was able to sneak in a small vacation. Work had been busy and is keeping me distracted, which is great.

I'm getting a few signs AF might be starting- I really hope this is it!

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@Crystal: Yea for work distractions and vacation. I leave for my work trip Sunday, and I'm excited. I just wish it wasn't during my fertile window. Hope AF comes soon! So weird to say that since we usually want it to stay away.

@AmeliaBedilia: lol, I know! This whole thing is backwards!

I'm so frustrated! I was given a referral for perinataligy for testing. I just called the center, and they said they won't help or see me until I've had 3 losses. Even though I have authorization from my ins and a dr referral. They said my OB can run some tests and then send me to an infertility specialist, but that's not what I was calling for! Ugh.

@doxielove: and @KittySunshine: I'm in the dreaded tww with you! And my blood test is scheduled for October 2! I don't plan to poas before then.

@Crystal: I'm so sorry you went through the trouble of getting a referral and the place won't even take you! That's sucky.

  13. KittySunshine

    olive / 50 posts

@agold: Hope the dreaded TWW goes by quickly for you! How funny we are both somewhere between the Sept and Oct threads.

@Crystal: Work and vacations are a great distraction! I'm very thankful for those things myself. Sorry the center denied you! Does your doctor have any other suggestions for a different center or way to run the tests?

  14. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

@KittySunshine: @agold: 2 miscarriages in a row is hard enough, I can't imagine going through 3 before anyone will see me. I'm hoping that my dr will run a few tests, I'm waiting to hear back from the dr office. Either way, my dr seems to be taking my issues seriously, so I'm happy about that.

  15. doxielove

@Crystal: How frustrating about the referral! I don't understand why they'd let you potentially miscarry a 3rd time before accepting the referral. Thank goodness your Dr. shares your concerns!

@AmeliaBedilia: I've heard that traveling can cause late ovulation. So maybe you'll O later this cycle because of your trip??? *Fingers crossed*

CD11 here. I am using an OPK that expired 2/2015. Control line on top.I think control is slightly darker, but not sure. Opinions please!

@AmeliaBedilia: looks positive to me! Can you get any non-expired ones to verify?

AF is officially here!!! Yay!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

@AmeliaBedilia: Ack, I'm so bad at telling what's positive, but in my opinion the test line is just a touch darker than the control. So, positive!

@Crystal: Yeaaaah! Woot AF! Time to get those cycles back!

@doxielove: thanks! So excited! No idea what CD I am, but whatever. It's still progress.

@Crystal: yeah for AF! I remember it was such a relief when I get mine back post D&E. I hope your doctor is proactive and will run tests and you can have some answers soon.

I'm just in limbo waiting for my scan on Thursday. Should be close to 8w and hoping for good news.

    Hope you are all well.

@Crystal: This is the happiest I've been about AF. Cheers!

I looked at the strip again, and I think the control is a tiny bit darker. DH is home while I'm at a conference. The reason we need to know is that I'm supposed to take prednisone after ovulation. Before starting cabergoline and synthroid, I always ovulated day 15 on my own. Today is only day 11, so I'm a little confused. Also, if I ovulate day 12, is that concerning? I read that ovulating early can be a sign of premenopause.

    persimmon / 1388 posts

@delight: Good luck at your scan on Thursday!! Wishing you all the best!!

@AmeliaBedilia: I've never read that early ovulation is a sign of early menopause. I *have* heard (gah, can't remember by sources, though!) that an earlier ovulation may not give the egg enough time to fully mature.

9DPO for me. AF is expected on Wednesday. I usually don't spot until 10DPO but I woke up to light pink and brown spotting. Lovely. I missed my LH surge so I very well could be 10DPO, I guess.

@Crystal: Thats great news! It's one step closer!

AF, where are youuuuuuu!! Day 2 of spotting. Usually I only have a few hours of spotting then she comes in full force. It's been 24+ hours of a mixure of brown, pink, and red spotting. The last time I had more than a day of spotting pre-AF was May 2014, and that was my HSG cycle so I had random spotting thruout that whole month.

I'm due to POAS saturday the 2nd. I really haven't had any symptoms

Since October is days away, thinking we should start an October board. See some of you on the other side

  30. doxielove

    persimmon / 1388 posts

@NorthStar: I'm pretty sure I'm 10dpo. AF is usually here around 11dpo, so I'm technically not late yet, which is why I'm hesitating to test. I'm thinking if by tomorrow evening I still haven't gotten my period then I'll test Thursday morning.

  31. LibbyLou

Checking in here one last time. My period is one day late- I have no tests in the house and by posting on here that I have a sliver of hope means that my period is bound to come. So putting it out there!

(Not terribly hopeful- no clomid, only hit day 5 before ovulation due to travel schedules but still a chance? Maybe?).

@KittySunshine: How are you doing? How is the tail end of your TWW?

@agold: AF ended up showing this morning

  36. KittySunshine

@agold: Hello! Thanks for asking! So I'm really weird and every time it gets to be the last days before my period I get very energetic and in a happy mood. I'm in that weird place right now and I'm supposed to get it tomorrow so we will see. I guess I can't be too upset about a good mood but maybe feeling more nausea or fatigue would indicate a pregnancy? No cramps, spotting or any other AF warning signs so I continue to wait. I'm supposed to go to a wedding and then a trip for work so I guess I'm fine with either a or a Then I can either drink and enjoy the wedding or enjoy the My acupuncturist was very curious about my PCOS diagnosis and said I should look into insulin testing to be sure. My diagnosis was based on a higher ratio of androgens and testosterone to female hormones along with sonogram results.

    @LibbyLou: Sorry about AF

@doxielove: I'm also definitely curious about your results!!

Hi everyone. I'm at 13 dpo, no AF, but I got a negative pregnancy test this morning. I'm assuming I'm out at this point.

@agold: You mentioned a blood test tomorrow? Good luck!

    grapefruit / 4045 posts

@doxielove: So sorry about AF. Nice clean start for October!

@KittySunshine: Sounds like you have a very insightful acupuncturist! I think its worth looking into everything until you are comfortable with the answers you are receiving. And you know you aren't out until you are out. Will you test again tomorrow? And you are right, I have a blood test tomorrow. Yikes!
