My 4 month old has short 20-30 minute naps, except for when daddy takes him in the carrier in the late afternoons/evenings, and then he can sleep a good hour or more. I realize this could be just a sleep regression that is affecting the length of the naps, but what really gets me is that he only seems to want to fall asleep in the carrier. I try cradling him in my arms, and maybe it's due to the discomfort he's feeling from ongoing gas, but he won't fall asleep in my arms. Or on top of me, or cuddled on the bed. At least, not 98% of the time.

Anyone else deal with this "one way and only way" napping? Did you sleep train? Or did your kiddo grow out of it? Thanks for any info.

Edit: Forgot to add that he doesn't like when we sit still, either. He can be napping for a bit and when we sit down with him, he knows it and starts to wake up. So tiring.
