@CRGmama: That's really interesting about Gemma letting him heal! I can see that though for sure!
So what do you think will come of the limp next episode??

**SPOILERS***
1. The limp was so weird, that made no sense to me, I thought I forgot something too. Unless Abel stabbed him...haha I'm joking (but seriously he's a freaky kid, did you know it is twins who plays him...there are two of him out there!)
2. I'm glad Gemma is dead, however it was a little strange how calm the situation was, I thought Jaxx would have been way more emotional about it, I didn't get that feeling.
3. I thought Unser would have survived too, I really thought he would come out of this alive.
4. Juice, I'm glad he's torment is done, I couldn't watch him get raped again. He was always one of my favorites.
5. I think Jaxx will commit suicide now, he's sent Wendy and the kids off to "visit" the farm and I think he will go run himself into the same wall as J.T. and be like father like son.
6. I want some rap up of Garry & Chibs, I feel like that is still unfinished.

@LuLu Mom: I totally agree about Juice. I'm sad he had to die but I really hated watching him get raped. I looked away this last time, it's too graphic.

@CRGmama: I agree! I always liked Juice, and I always felt horrible when they raped him RIP Juice!!!

So I have to jump in here and ask for you to speculate with me.
In the scene where Jax is meeting with Indian Hills at the table and they are discussing the mayhem vote, he tells the other charters' presidents that his charter will vote unanimously if they promise to do away with an unspoken bylaw. they cut away to another scene then cut back as they're all agreeing. Later in the episode he asks Gemma where JT's manuscript and stuff is and she tells him in the storage locker.
My theory: Jax is going to die because of the mayhem vote and he is at peace with this because he'll be with Tara (Sutter draws a lot on Shakespeare references). But before he dies he's going to set the club up for something. Either they're doing away with the bylaw that doesnt allow blacks in the club and they will patch over T.O. and the other Grim Bastards. OR He's going to make it impossible for Abel or Thomas to ever step into his role, thus breaking the cycle.

I just can't see how this series is going to end without Jax dying somehow - either suicide or murder. This last episode was INSANE!!!!
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
Nero might kill Jax. I wonder if that is what happens.
I originally thought the bylaw change was going to be about letting blacks in. Then they can patch in the Grim Bastard guys and they won't vote for mayhem, meaning its not unanimous, and he lives.
Maybe there is a bylaw where the president can't leave the club? Maybe he wants that changed so he can get out? I don't know!
In my mind, he's dead on the last episode. Some way, some how. I don't see him surviving.

I'm sooo curious! Interesting theories here! I don't see Jax surviving either, whether suicide or murder.

After seeing Juice die, I'm stumped. Kurt Sutter said 2 sons will die this season. But could he have been putting us on?

@LuLu Mom: I've just started watching the second to last episode, I wouldn't be surprised if the limp is a symptom of some sort of illness or condition.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@Kemma: What was in the second to last episode that might hint at an illness, I'm already forgetting??
@mediagirl: I'm wondering if he didn't consider Juice a SON since they pretty much exiled him?

@autumnlove: I'm going to do my best to stay awake and watch it so I can chat about it tomorrow! I'm sure it will be 2+ hours so I'm going to be dragging, but I will do it

@CRGmama: i didn't watch but I read a spoiler....

My Thoughts without giving too much away
Jax had a very busy day
I def choked up when he said good bye to his sons - I think Wendy will do right by them its what Tara wanted when she thought she was going to prison
Happy didnt even flinch!
The cop chase was too much, too long and way to coincidental that the Trucker played by michael chiklis just happened to be on the same stretch of road.
What was with the random pastries with the homeless lady and the crows
I couldnt watch the Afterword.... first i was just too tired, but second I cant stand the way Kurt stutter talks about the show and all the actors do is give him head pats for "writing so well" Also the actors are incredibly good at acting but really dont say anything coherent live. They dont ever reveal anything interesting. Unless i missed something last night

@autumnlove: @CRGmama: I'm pretty sure if you just go on the internet and see the words Sons of Anarchy, you'll see the biggest spoiler!! But I think we all knew it had to happen....
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@Chillybear: It wasn't a random pastry, I believe it was supposed to be bread (bread and wine) and was referencing communion/The Last Supper. I believe they were implying the homeless woman was kind of his guardian throughout the show, almost a religious figure in his life, when she said "it's time?" She was saying "it's your time to leave."
My thoughts: (MAJOR SPOILERS)
1. I'm sad about how predictable it was, I wasn't shocked by anything. I would have been more shocked had they had Chibs go through with the mayham vote and kill him.
2. I'm not happy with the way Chibs and Jarry left things, I thought he had true feelings for her.
3. Nero made this finale, he is a great actor.
4. The chase scene was a little much, you're telling me with ALL of htose cops behind him there is not one who could come from the other direction...come on now.
5. The Truck driver was a little ridiculous, I guess it was just a cameo but still.
6. The goodbye was hard to watch, but it did make sense to me why he wanted it that, he didn't' want his kids living his life, he granted Tara's wish.
7. Jax Saying I love you to Lyla was weird, they haven't shown their relationship much and then just for that to pop up, I know he's saying his goodbyes but it was awkward.
8. I liked the scene with the DA, they always had a great chemistry.
pomegranate / 3032 posts
@LuLu Mom: Ok that makes sense with the bread.... I guess i didnt think about it that way. Its been a long time since we saw random homeless lady, I kinda forgot about her. Found it odd that the same bread was on the side of the road though.
The truck driver was the same as the one that picked up Gemma in the last episode again another weird coincidence that wasnt necessary.
I think the scene with Layla had to do with Opie and how even after he's gone she's doing right by his kids. Which is what he's hoping Wendy will do for him.
What was the point of going to the storage locker and burning all the photos and death certificates? basically the entire history of his family/the club? The club is going to continue on.
I love the DA and i'm glad jax brought her back into the fold of the story. I think tying up all the loose ends himself really avoids the club getting any kind of heat for the killings and makes them a more legitimate club.
There were a lot of unspoken conversations that i really would have liked to hear the dialogue to. On one hand i know it was for the dramatics and to keep you guessing till the end but on the other hand it seems a bit lazy to me on Sutter's part.
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
I liked the idea that the homeless woman is the grim reaper.
The finale was satisfying for me. I was expecting a bunch of gang related shootouts, but that is my least favorite part of the show, so I didnt miss it.
Abel may still have a really tough life, emotionally.
I think Chibs loves Jarry, but pushed her away to keep her safe.
Overall, I think it was the best show Fx ever did. It wasnt HBO/AMC caliber, but it was very, very entertaining.

@DillonLion: Agree Definitely one of the best shows on TV recently, Great production quality, story and actors. It filled the void left by Rescue me.

@Chillybear: I think Jax burned all of that so his boys will never find it.
At first, I was disappointed by the ending. I loved this show because of all the crazy twists/turns but the end was fairly predictable. Now that I have had more time to think on it, I think it was a great wrap up episode.
I still want to know what that damn limp was about though...I am guessing they just didn't edit it?
pomegranate / 3032 posts
@lilyann: yet he told Nero, He wants his boys to know who he was and what he did so they will despise the thought of him.
apricot / 451 posts
@Chillybear: I think he burned it all because it included aspects of his life that made him human and likeable (JT's book and Jax's own journal). If he wants his kids to know about him and despise him, he doesn't want them to find evidence of how he felt about and cared for his family & the club.
I was also a bit disappointed with how predictable the ending was, but overall it was an amazing tv series!

Just watched the finale! Good episode....poor Abel and his Son ring!

I'm just posting to refer to my predictions on Page 2 as a mostly correct guess (minus the Juice part)!! Yay!!
Overall, I am SUPER happy with the ending. I feel very satisfied. Though some people wanted more, I think the predictable way to go was definitely a solid one.
I suppose I've been super disappointed by how other series ended (Dexter, How I Met Your Mother, Breaking Bad), that I was - for once - glad that Sutter stuck to his original guns (even despite the little bit of predictability), than to throw curveball after curveball for shock's sake.
IMO, Sutter stayed true to his creative vision since the beginning, never giving into fan service. If something wasn't the way he wanted it, it was not done. Chris Franjola, not doing his job? Gone (though that might not have been Sutter's call).
SOLID SOLID series that I am glad to have watched.
I was so luck to get into SOA before it ever became popular, I was able to score Season 1 - 3 for $10 each at my local Best Buy at the time (and it wasn't even on the shelves yet because it wasn't popular).
I have since hooked at least 20 others on the show, and they have in turn hooked others.
Even though I have these copies, I will no doubt buy the real collector's edition when it comes out. =) The series is well deserved of its' success. IMO, moreso even than The Walking Dead, maybe rivaled by Game of Thrones.
