Are you doing anything fun with LO tomorrow for St. Patrick's Day?
We will just do a craft, that's likely it, we don't get into too much. My 4 year old is asking about what it is though, so maybe I'll do something else but more just for something to do!

We read about St. Patrick and got a couple of other secular/leprechaun books at the library this week. Today we used marshmallows and paint to stamp shamrocks. Tomorrow we have a St. Paddy's event at a retirement home and are getting together with some friends to watch a movie about St. Patrick. They've got some shamrock headbands to wear. We also dye their milk green with breakfast.

They have cute shirts that say "Kiss Me I'm Irish-ish." I have one that says that as well and DH's shirt says "Kiss I'm Irish" because I'm Korean, he's Irish and we have a super Irish last name. I got a shamrock headband for DS1 and we will have corned beef and soda bread and a green pistachio cake. I'll try to put a green lunch together for DS1.

We have a cute shirt (hand me down from a friend, I would never buy anything for this!) and we happen to be the helper at preschool. So I made the playdough green (and peppermint scented!) but that's it. Oh, and I made corned beef and veggies for dinner tonight.

The leprechaun came to school today and made a mess in the class. They are doing more stuff tomorrow and having a little party. Nothing special at home.

DH and I are both Irish and he/ the kids are red haired/ blue eyed/ fair skinned so I typically have to do something to celebrate. I prepped some corned beef and cabbage for the crockpot tomorrow and baked some soda bread. We will probably make green shamrock shortbread cookies for our afternoon activity and possibly do a craft as well depending on how motivated I am or how much of a mess DD makes with the cookies.

They have shirts from lass year that fit, but my 3.5 yo has already informed me that she will not wear it! We did make Irish soda bread today and I'm making Guinness beef stew tomorrow. That's about it. We had friends over last weekend to celebrate.

They are having a party at daycare tomorrow.
DS has his green clothes picked out to wear and has been talking about it all month.

We usually set a leprechaun trap. It's been spring break and we have been on the go so it didn't happen. Our 5 year old spent some time on it but just didn't complete. She's likely to be disappointed.
They both have shamrock clothes for today.

We have a craft and a special dinner/dessert planned. My mom is making Irish Soda bread and brininging it over. My great grandmother was born in Ireland, so despite not doing many other things during the year to acknowledge it we definitely celebrate St. Patrick's day!

Haha, nope. My son asked last night when we get our gold coins from the pot of gold and this morning I totally forgot to put him in a green shirt.
We're not Irish though, so it feels kind of like a fraud anyway.

I put them in matching green shirts and I'm sure they will do some themed stuff at daycare today. DS2's favorite color is green so he's been into it.

My kids learn about St. Patrick's Day at school. This is new to me. By chance I put LO2 in a pair of green jeans, and he fit in this morning at school.

We’re not Irish (and if I am, not enough to know/care/count) so we don’t do much. We made a leprechaun trap on the snow day this week, but mostly only because I needed snow day activities! I did set it up last night after LO fell asleep to look like the leprechaun had escaped it, and I (I mean, the leprechaun!) left LO some green jelly beans and some chocolate coins and a note from the leprechaun. She’s wearing green today but I’m not.
We might make something Irish for dinner....then again we might just have more tacos
