I used to set up "stations." Jumper for 15-20 minutes, the floor play, then snack, high chair time, etc. It made the day go by fast!

I'm interested in this too! We go for "walks"around the house. Go to the window, look for birds. Go upstairs (she loves the stairs!). We take her bows out. She takes all of her stuffed animals off the shelf. We read books. We listen to music. We play with the kitchen bowls. Not very exciting! I'm looking forward to when she gets old enough for crafts.

Eta:she also really loves the wooden peg stacking toy. And opening and shutting doors

Pinterest has lots of great sensory activities for babies.

LO is 11 months and loves books - especially ones with flaps and mirrors. Check out your local library - I was shocked at how many board books and activity books they had for infants.

I don't SAH full-time but on days that I am home by myself with LO, I usually will plan one "activity," whether it is a library storytime or a sensory activity/craft at home.

My LO is 15 months but recently she has been very into pouring and containers, so rice grains or dry beans in different tupperware containers and cups on the kitchen floor. It's messy but she works hard!

My LO loved to "help" me. She helped me unload the dishwasher, sort the laundry, put things in the hamper, put clothes in the washer/dryer, bring things to me, pick up items from the floor and hand them to me, walk around with the Swiffer duster, I let her hold the vacuum for a minute and she'd push it, get things out of the cabinet for me, etc.

I also started giving her busy bags if I needed to get something done. I fill bags with special fun items and only let her play with them occasionally so she is never bored with them. The bags have things like small animal figures, a play makeup set, a play tool set, random items like pom-poms foam shapes and pipe cleaners, costume jewelry, one bag has an assortment of containers and little items to fill them with, etc.
