DH and I are leaving on Wednesday to go to Green Lake, Wisconsin for my friend's wedding. We're taking our 2 year old and our 3 month old. I haven't had much time to plan the visit, so I'm calling on HB to suggest family friendly things to do in Chicago and area. Thanks!

Are you going to be travelling through the Milwaukee/Chicago area? Green Lake is a fair distance from those cities, 1.5 hours to Milwaukee, add another hour to get into the Chicago area.

We are spending 2 days in Green Lake for the wedding, but the rest of the time will be spent in Chicago. We've only flown through, and never stayed in the city, so that's where we are flying in and out of. The drive doesn't bother us. If there are things to stop and see on the way to Green Lake, please recommend as well. We're thinking about stopping at Yerkes Observatory.
