I'm planning a shower for my cousin (who was MoH in my wedding and we grew up like sisters) with my mom and her mom. Its going to be a surprise and I'm in charge of invites. My aunt and his mom have given me lists and addresses, my issue is with her friends. She's not married so its not like i have her wedding guest list like she had mine when planning my bridal shower. How do I know who to invite and how to get their addresses? I can contact some on Facebook and her BF is no help

Can you talk to her mom or SO, they might have some insight into the people she would want to attend her shower

She has many different circles of friends - she went to 2 high schools, 2 colleges, was very involved in gymnastics, her work friends (their going to have their own shower for her) I don't want to ask her for a list but i dont want to miss inviting someone important to her

I love the concept of a surprise shower, but I feel someone always gets left off the guest list. My bridesmaids threw me a surprise bridal shower, and communication was poor...one of my bridesmaids ended up missing the shower! So for my baby shower I was so against a surprise.
Could you tell her you'd like to throw a shower and ask her for a guest list, but not tell her any other details? -
I would contact friends on FB. you should be able to send messages to her friends even if you're not friends with them.

LOL It must have been a long day...I Saw "surprise shower" and thought ohh, this one's gonna be steamy!
I'd ask her mom who her closest female friends are from the various social groups and reach out to them on facebook.
