I need some advice about swaddle-weaning. My 5m sleeps with me at night and takes his naps in his crib, stroller, or in carrier on me (ring sling). We've been swaddling for naps and bedtime, and I nurse to sleep and lay him down when he's deep asleep, or my husband or babysitter bounces him on exercise ball until he's deep asleep and sets him down then (I am away at bedtime 4 nights per week).

I've started not swaddling him usually for bedtime and he'll stay awake the usual amount of time. I put him in pjs with covered hands because he likes to rub his ears and eyes. I think he's fine then because I just nurse to sleep on the bed and don't have to do a transfer.

I use the miracle blanket and I've had success with leaving his legs out since he's way too long anyways. But just how I tried leaving one arm out and he woke up in 5 min after I set him in crib. He always sleeps in his crib for this nap, and I want to move towards more naps and maybe first nighttime stretch in crib, not less! Any advice?
