LO is 5 months old and I am still swaddling her! I tried to stop a few weeks ago and she wasn't sleeping. I bought Merlin's magic sleepsuit, which seemed to piss her off to no end. I currently use a Miracle Blanket and leave her legs free so arms are the only thing swaddled. I am going to try again this weekend since I have a 3-day weekend and can maybe deal with some sleepless nights 
Advice? I quit cold turkey with LO1 but this girly isn't cooperating with me!

We used a Halo Swaddle sack. Her arms were out but she got the tightness on her chest. Then each night made is looser and then moved to a sleep sack.

We had to do cold turkey b/c dude was rolling over onto his tummy. It was super scary, but to be honest - the anxiety leading up to it was worse then the fact. It took longer to rock him to sleep (since he was missing the sleep cue of the swaddle), and he woke up a couple more times the first few nights - but it wasn't the all night rocking/fussing fest I was afraid of. We used a Halo sleep sack, but I'm not sure it made much of a difference.

We did cold turkey and into a sleep sack straight away when LO was 8 weeks and she did fine.

We went to sleep sacks once our LO started to bust out of the swaddle consistently. He transitioned just fine!

we did it with the halo swaddles. started with one hand out so she could get her to mouth, then both hands up by her mouth, then both hands out but the swaddle tightly to her chest and finally loosely like a regular sleep sack until we switched to larger sleep sacks. i think it took a couple weeks of trial and error.

the halo swaddle sack might work for you since she likes her arms swaddled. for both my kids, they pretty much quit cold turkey. it might be a rough couple of nights, but they are so adaptable. oddly olive slept through the night for the first time when we ditched her swaddle at 4 months!

Thanks for the advice! I'll look into the halo swaddle sack. Tonight I tried one arm out...to no avail. She wants to put her hands all over her face and it wakes her up!
