Do you get them? Does this sound like one? Pain up the neck and then in the side of the head. Every once in a while I will get a ping of pain through my head from it. I've had caffeine and taken Ibuprofen and nothing is helping.

I get tension headaches. It usually starts in my neck and up my head. Sometimes having my hair up in a bun for too long can cause it. I use a heating pad and I like Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer tea. Also a massage helps, as well as some journaling and meditation.

Sounds like one to me. Heat and stretch those neck muscles out, and a good massage would help!

I get them often. They start in my neck and radiate up into my head. They throb and medication won't touch them. I typically use a heating pad, stretch my muscles (sitting up straight I tilt my head to the left and to the right. Then front and back). The best thing I have found for them is chiropractic care. For me, my muscles get so tight and things move out of place.
