I was getting horrible migraines. How much water are you drinking? I was drinking around 60z and thought that was enough, but it was only when I upped it to like 110-120oz that it helped. Also, some caffeine and tylenol when it was really bad .

I did with my first pregnancy and they were awful. I think mine were hormonal, since I also got them when I went off the pill. I also was prone to sinus and stress headaches anyway.

What worked for me was acupuncture. Total life changer- two years later I still get way fewer headaches! But I think they also do tend to ease up in the second trimester anyway.

In the meantime, cold compress on the back of my neck or forehead and laying in a dark room helped a lot. I even occasionally wore my sunglasses at work because the lights were too bright.

@wrkbrk: not only did it really help my headaches and back pain, but I found it soooo relaxing. You just lay there in a dim room and let the needles do their thing. I kind of want to do it again but it wouldn't be nearly as relaxing now when I'd also have to sort out babysitting.

Agree with @hilsy85 - I was getting terrible tension headaches, and significantly upping my water intake (to way more than I thought I needed, probably 100oz or so) was the only thing that helped. Tylenol would take the edge off but ultimately was kind of worthless. Hope you feel better!

I started with the headaches at 4 weeks! It was one of my first symptoms. Progesterone can cause headaches, so first trimester can be rough! I have been getting them again off and on since 25 weeks. Good luck!

@wrkbrk: I got them all the time. I would do a dual ice pack both over my eyes and one at the base of my neck while laying down. Dr also recommended a snack with sugar, fat, and protein all in one so I had ice cream or small smoothies a lot and it helped.

Tons. There is literally no good reason not to tale tylenol, so don't just sit around suffering. With my first, my frequent headaches mostly went away. Not with my second.

I got them and I sympathize with you! I had to leave work a few times because it was so bad.
Lots of water (probably more than you think you need), Tylenol and shutting your eyes when you can. That's all I did.
Some people swear by a Coke! But I never tried it.

I can't hear you over the sound of my thumping head Not sure if its the extra progesterone or what, but I'm getting them a fair bit.

I woke up this morning with a cracking headache, need to get DD ready to drop off at granny's so I can get to work. Hubby is in bed with a migraine

I too had a lot of headaches around that time of pregnancy. They went away around the 16 week mark. Hang in there!

I get them occasionally, definitely worse than pre-preg headaches. Tylenol + caffeine + hydration but even that usually just barely takes the edge off. Sucks!!

Yes, I have been getting lots of tension headaches. The pregnancy has flared up my TMJ issues.
