I just saw this new story about an adoption from ethiopia where the girl was abused, neglected and ultimately died of malnutrition and hypothermia. Why do people spend all that money to adopt a child if they dont want the child

@Mrsbells: I think that family in WA had some kind of "child collection" type dysfunction. They were also hyper-religious and extremely strict. I wonder if there was some sort of adoptive parent mental illness.
