This little guy inside of me has defied all of the old wives tales. He has a high heart rate, according to the ramzi method should be a girl and I've been craving sweets to an unreal level. But both u/s and dna test confirm it is most definitely a little boy in there!

Early on both of my sons HR's were 160s/170s, then as the pregnancy progressed they both always hung out around 150-155!

This time around its saying boy as well, but it will be another 5.5 months before we find out!

My baby's heart rate has been consistently high. In the first tri it was in the 170s and now in the second and beginning of the third its in the mid-high 150s. Yesterday, one of my doctor's joked if we were sure he's a boy. If it wasn't for the ultrasound we may not be.

@Applesandbananas: Not me, but my SIL had a baby boy, but high heart rate the entire pregnancy.

At DS's 8 week scan his HR was 183, but was consistently in the 135-145 after that.
DD's was consistently in the 135-140 range, too.

I've read that there is some corrrelation btw high rate and girl later in pregnancy, but not in the first trimester. Yesterday, however, my nurse practioner guessed girl based on the 170bbm so who knows (almost 12 weeks)!

Mine had a HR of 175 at our eight-week appointment. Looking at the poll it kind of seems like higher rates are common in general, so it could go either way!

Mine stayed in high 170s hr entire first trimester and dropped to 160s around 15 weeks.

Ultrasound definitely confirmed he's a boy. There's a reason why it's an old wives tale
