No I don't want my kiddo riding the bus. If she really wants to then maybe..

Our district only does buses for kids that live more than 2 miles from the school and as the school is in our backyard, LO will be walking. I rode the bus when I was in school and there were all sorts of shenanigans, but I don't think anyone was smoking pot on the bus, but there was probably some selling.

I think we live too close to qualify for the bus. So we'll drop her off. The after school program is at the school so she won't need to take a bus for that either.

We'll prob drop off to elementary/middle since they're both super close. And in HS we'll see what our schedules are like then!

We are walking distance to all of her schools. I think she'll be bummed to not get to ride the bus. I don't think our schools actually even have bus service.

I would but our district doesn't do buses.

We live too close to the schools for a school bus. All three (elementary, Jr High, and High School) are within walking distance from our house. So, for elementary I'm sure I'll walk with (or have someone walk with) my child to school. I'm not sure what we'll do about Jr High, since its the farthest away and on the corner of two major roads. And High school (assuming we still live here) he or she will walk to school (its just down the street). That was a big part of why we bought where we did.

The selling pot on the bus bothers me! That crap didn't go on when I was riding the bus! Just kids sticking their hands out the windows or standing, and they always got yelled at.

They will take the bus. Our resides school is too far to walk (2 miles each way) and I'm not about to do the kiss and ride line twice a day.

School buses scare me, even though I rode one. Which I admit, I hated!

LO will ride one on Thursday for a field trip and I'm dreading it. Unfortunately it's either ride the bus or no field trip. And no parent chaperones allowed on the bus either

For elementary and middle school probably not. Elementary starts so early that I'I'll be able to drop off and they"ll either go to after care or we'll have a babysitter for after school. In middle school they can walk since the school is across from our neighborhood entrance. As for HS, I think we are just over the 2 mile requirement for them to take the bus. I'd like them to do that if possible because that's another sign of independence and responsibility. If the bus wasn't safe we would come up with alternative transportation.

Hell to the no. as a school admin, I can't even begin to tell you about how bad bus behavior is that I've dealt with. Bad, dangerous, etc. I feel awful for parents who have no choice.

I haven't really thought about it since we are nowhere near time for that, but I don't see why not. I rode the bus every single day growing up until I was old enough to drive myself and never had a single issue. Schoolbuses really don't concern me so unless I learn from other parents that there are issues around where we live, our kids will ride the bus.

If I'm still teaching where I currently am she will go to school with me, so no. Our school (district charter) doesn't have busses but uses the district school busses for transport to field trips, rest home visits (part of our curriculum) etc
