This is really long but i am really hoping some toddler moms or sleep experts can help me....

I am seriously about to lose my mind. My 20 month old has been waking up between 345 and 430 am for the day since daylight savings time. He wakes up happy and wanting to play....leaving him in his room doesnt cause him to go back to sleep, but neither does trying to help him fall back to sleep.

Moving bedtime earlier doesn't work...we got to as early as 5 00 pm and he wakes up well rested but still really early. Moving it later doesn't work either. We managed to get in two naps yesterday and put him to bed at 7 and he was still up at 345 today. He needs 2 naps, but won't fall asleep for two naps unless I drive him around in the car (rocking is a disaster...He screams and thrashes to get down). He has started only sleeping for 1.5 hours during his nap instead of his usual 3 and wakes up screaming from that...and then is miserable and cries all afternoon because he is so tired but he wont go back to sleep. He has also started fighting bedtime out of nowhere...He has always gone to sleep on his own within minutes of us tucking him into bed. I have tried leaving him to cry. If he isn't too overtired he will scream for about a minute and then go to his bed and go to sleep, but if he is overtired he will scream for hours if we don't intervene. Most of the time we have to lay next to him now until he is almost asleep...

Does anyone have any ideas? Am I missing something? I am so exhausted and so defeated. I feel like I have tried everything. I have no idea what else to do. I hate seeing him so miserable all the time when I know the reason is that he is tired but I can't get him to sleep. before this he had been consistently sleeping from about 7pm-6am with one 3 hour nap in the middle of the day.
