I'm only 6 weeks but my 22 month old son is a bull in a china shop and he has already kicked, pounced on and head butted me in the stomach countless times. I try up protect myself and anticipate but he still manages to get me. Any advice? How worried should I be?

I'm 21 weeks and constantly trying to keep my toddler away from my belly. I do the best I can, but I figure you don't see many dented second children walking around, so I've tried not to worry too much

It's not going to hurt the baby, though it will be uncomfortable for you.

I was told by my OB that adults could produce force that could be harmful but it was really unlikely that a child could. Baby is chilling in some cushy fluid, in your uterus, tucked in your pelvis at 6w, and you might even have a little extra layer of tummy (I did!) to protect your sweet bean

Yep, story of my last pregnancy! It became instinctual for me to hold my hand over my belly. If we slept in bed together I would sleep with a pillow over my belly. Congrats on your pregnancy!

@keiki_mama: thank you! I do the pillow trick too as well as curling into the fetal position. We only cosleep half the night now so it's less often an issue then but all day long he likes to tackle me. I'm working on teaching him to be gentle but he isn't really grasping it.

I'm getting beat up by Georgia too! (She likes to pull up to stand USING MY BOOBS - ermagerd) Just trying to gently place her somewhere else!
