So my husband wants another baby!! I had the implant rods in my arm after having our 2 boys, now 9mo and 2yo and he keeps telling me to get my rods removed so we can try for another!! What he diesnt know is that i got them removed just over a month ago so im eagerly waiting to get my bfp and surprise him!!! Im 9dpo today and took a test this morning which came up with an evap line so i went to the shops this morning and bought some early preg tests hoping it might show up tomorow morning! Im so excited!!! Has anyone else ever gotten pregnant withought your partner knowing? Whats my chances of a bfp 10dpo?

I'm going to be really honest with you, I think this sounds like a terrible idea. Talking about going off birth control and actually making the final decision to do so, as a couple, are two very very different things. If it turns out you aren't already pregnant I would REALLY suggest letting your husband know what's going on before you keep TTC.

I would usually agree with @Truth Bombs, but you're the best judge of the situation. If you're really certain that he'll be excited, then that's pretty cool. DH was pretty shocked with our first bfp, because our timing was bad so I told him I absolutely didn't expect anything. I was shocked too! His response was "no you're not."
He had basically the same response with our last pregnancy that conceived on the one night he decided not to pull out. Which, actually was in some ways similar to your situation. He decided to do it a month sooner than we were planning, without consulting me, because he knew for certain that I was very impatient to try again. Worked out for us- I was definitely not upset!

We talked about it alot over the last 3 months and had agreed to go off contraception when we got back from our holiday but we moved house and the plane trip with the 2 little ones made me question weather or not i wanted another one so soon so i told him i wanted to wait a bit longer but he keeps nagging me to get my implant out, anytime i mention pregnancy to him he just says 'hurry up and get your rods out then' so i know he really does want another one

I am not a secret keeper, so now way I could plan a surprise pregnancy, but my BFPs have all been visible by 10 DPO - good luck! Sounds like a fun surprise since your DH is definitely on board!

i definately wouldnt do this if there would be even the slightest chance of him not wanting another one! He's even talked me into agreeing to make a doctors appointment next week to remove the implant! So if im not pregnant this cycle i might have to tell him

I got a positive at 9dpo with my first.

I had a vfp at 9dpo that I thought was an evap. It was a clear positive at 12dpo. I didn't try testing before then. Good luck, hope everything works out the way you hope!

Ok need some advise, if im not too sure when i ovulated should i just estimate based on a 28 day cycle? I had my period on the 21st of last month and had some spotting on the 5th of this month but the app on my phone tells me i would have ovulated on the 2nd!? Should i test based on spotting though? That would only make me 7dpo whereas the app would make it 10dpo!! How common is spotting during ovulation? When should i Poas?

I know the default assumption is a 28 day cycle but I don't know how common that is, particularly after coming off a hormonal birth control. My cycles were more like 35-40 days for a while after stopping the pill, for example.
Considering you had spotting on the 5th, perhaps you should consider that the possible ovulation date, although you can't really tell without temping/charting CM/using opks.
If only testing was free we could just do it every day and not worry about when! Good luck
Edited to add that even 10dpo might be quite early for a bfp anyway so waiting the 3 extra days would make your chances of accuracy a lot higher.

@Surprise pregnancy : how long have you been using your app to track your cycles? I think FF needs three cycles of actual data to more acturarely predict your ovulation and next cycle start date.

Omg took my daily test this morning like a crazy lady and it was a bfn but went back an hour later to check and theres a small pinstripe of blue there!! Can anyone else see it? I feel like im going a little crazy so dont know what to think!! It cant be an evap line as its definately blue but its too thin to be a faint bfp! What do you guys think? I had just got my head around the fact that i may have only ovulated a week ago but now im not sure.. Or maybe the test is just a dud..

I see a half a faint line, but you need to test again to be sure. Do you have two more tests? I'd test tonight and in the morning.
I used the Clear Blue w/ the clear understanding Pregnant/ Not Pregnant.

@Surprise pregnancy : I wouldn't put much stock in a test outside the test window. They can do some strange things! If it is a faint BFP, it should show up darker in a day or two. Good luck!

I see the faint line! Test again!
With my first, I tested at 9DPO and saw nothing within the testing period. Then I glanced at it again when I was throwing out the trash a few hours later and saw a faint line. I kept testing and at 11DPO the line was very clear.

@Surprise pregnancy : Yes, unfortunately evaps are extremely common with blue dye.
