🥂 Happy New Year! 🥂
I thought I’d start a new thread for the new year. The last POAS had 2020 in the name. Need to move on from that dumpster fire!
Does anyone know for sure they want one more in 2021, even if not TTC yet?

@yellowbeach: I noticed from the older board that you’re still waiting for a late AF... any update? Could those wondfos be a bad batch? Might be worth trying a FRER??

@MamaintheValley: took another this morning but definitely negative. Probably just a bad one. Still no AF though which is odd for me. Maybe menopause? Lol.

Happy New Year!! I'm looking forward to joining you ladies later this year, probably closer to summer. Hopefully my period will be back to normal before then. Currently still very unpredictable, hopefully only because of breastfeeding. I loved being a part of the group when I was TTC my first (who is going to be 2 in the spring).
Such a supportive group! Good luck to anyone currently trying!!!

Happy new year!
I will be a cheerleader for you all. I remember the support and advice from all of you all through 2019 and into 2020 in my ttc journey

Happy New Year ladies! I’ll be a cheerleader too. These boards saved my sanity when I was ttc #2!

Happy New Year, all! I'm not very active on these boards, but will be trying for baby #2 in 2021. Good luck to everyone ttc!
My daughter will be 20 months old in a couple days. Still unclear if we will be trying soon-ish or closer to summer/fall.
Not sure if this is weird, but I've been pushing back when I wanted to start trying because I dont feel ready for my daughter to not be our primary focus anymore. I still feel like she's our baby and deserves all the attention. I know I want a 2nd and for her to have a sibling, but its been surprisingly hard for me to pull the trigger on trying.

@Fawn: same here! My daughter is only a month older than yours. I feel sad when I think about her not being our only focus anymore. I think that's really normal though. My friends with multiple have said the same thing, but always say it all works out! We are aiming for around a 3 year age gap, so we haven't started trying yet.

@Lahela017: Good to know I'm not the only one feeling this way! I haven't talked about ttc #2 with anyone so wasn't sure if it was just me feeling weird about it! I feel like a lot of the couples we know were ready for another kid once their first turned 1 and that definitely wasn't us. I think a 3 year age gap sounds perfect.

@Fawn: @Lahela017: I felt the same way too! We have a 3 year gap with our kiddos and it’s great. I felt sad about DS not getting all the attention anymore throughout my entire pregnancy. There were days I would cry about it but now that the twins are one, it’s so sweet to watch all 3 play together!

Good news AF finally came yesterday (only a week late ya know) but at least I’m not in menopause (I’m 42). Lol.

Happy New Year!!! still trying for baby #2... hoping for sticky baby dust in this new year. 2 miscarriages last year, so definately hoping for a more positive outcome this year.

@chypmunk: I definitely think you deserve that sticky baby dust after last year!

How’s everyone doing? CD1 over here and pretty bummed about it. I was symptom spotting like crazy the last few days, but AF came right on time (with the usual 10 day luteal phase, womp womp).

Just checking in to see if anyone is still here - or if the HB POAS boards are officially dead
DH had been pretty adamant against any more babies, but randomly on Saturday he mentioned trying for a third. I think maybe he was doing the taxes and exploring the financial perks lol. Anyway, we DTD on what should be O -2, although I'm not doing any formal tracking, just recording AF start dates (I've always been very regular with AF and O in general).
I'm also 42 and going for my 3rd mammogram today, so OLD is the theme of the day... so no expectations for success. But fun to think about.
How's everyone else been doing?

@yellowbeach: funny that you posted this today, I am never over here anymore, but was popping in to see if anybody was around and saw this. Hi!
I keep going back-and-forth about TTC. We plan on doing our last embryo transfer in September, but I got AF back and have had one cycle so far, and I am kind of itching to try the old-fashioned way for now. We definitely want to go back for our last embryo, but we also probably won’t try after that baby, so if we are going to try naturally, this is the only time for it.
I am only kind of loosely tracking my cycle, last month I think my luteal phase is only four days long, so that was odd.
Last week I thought ovulation was coming and I had some OPKs that were trending more positive, but never actually got a positive. Last night I was having a lot of bloating and cramping, so I took an ovulation test and this morning it is almost positive. The weird thing is my CM is sticky and sparse, so either 1. This is a second ovulation surge 2. My body is just still mixed up from postpartum and nursing 3. I’m not actually ovulating, but my body keeps trying to surge or 4. I’m about to start AF

@LAZB: deciding when to close the door can be hard for sure... even if you have a few steps in between now and then.. it’s always emotional realizing you can see the end of TTC
So I caved like an idiot and tested at 7DPO. Amateur move, I know.
WTF do I do with this now?
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@yellowbeach: hmmm, I definitely see it, how interesting! Can’t wait for an update tomorrow!
I’m potentially 9 dpo, but didn’t actually track, so I have no idea. If I don’t start spotting today, I’ll test tomorrow. But really have no idea what is happening. I actually decided against ttc because we are planning a trip to Disney in July, so if it’s negative this month, we will hold off until July, or until I change my mind again LOL

@yellowbeach: I see it!
@LAZB: wow what are the chances? I hope you get whatever result you want and works for you!

@yellowbeach: I see it too! Does it look pink at all in person?

@yellowbeach: I can see it! I just wish early frers weren’t so hard to trust but crossing everything for you!!

This morning I see nothing, so going to wait another few days before I test again. A bit relieved to be honest. Awaiting more imaging on a left breast mass that they found last week on my mammo. If it is anything, not an ideal time to be preggo.
pea / 24 posts
@yellowbeach: I’m sorry about all the uncertainty! I’m sending good thoughts to you about your upcoming imaging too.
AFM, I didn’t track O very closely this cycle but we had generally good timing and I am probably 10 dpo, which is a long LP for me. Negative wondfo so I suppose just waiting for AF...
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@yellowbeach: sorry about that darn frer! Hope you’re other stuff all works out. @MamaintheValley: Same here, just waiting for the next cycle, this is one of the very few times I’m not super aware of my timing, it’s odd

@yellowbeach: AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Sending you all the sticky dust in the world! And for your imaging to be all good news.

@bhbee: Thanks. My follow up imaging is tomorrow morning ironically. So hoping it’s nothing.
Oh, and it definitely has color. This was at around 15 min.

I'm also recently pregnant and have my first scan today. I forgot just how much I hate the uncertainty and everything else about first tri. I got pregnant easily this time and it seems too good to be true...Not sure we'll try again if this pregnancy doesn't work out, as we were on the fence and the prospect of handling three is seeming more overwhelming to both DH and I now.

Update: beta today is 25. Seems low but I only have IVF as a reference. And now the wait...
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@periwinklebee: whaaaaat?! Something in the water around here hope today goes well!
@yellowbeach: On the cyst and on the beta numbers doubling! The waiting is so hard
