Gosh. I think it really depends. If it's like Poppy Rose, then I think it seems a bit much but something like Poppy Savannah or Poppy Marina seems less redundant. Does that make sense? So maybe instead of flora, go a different albeit still natural route.

I think it'd depend on how common the names were as names, you know? Like Rose would register to me more as a name than a plant, but Peony would strike me first as a flower (I've never heard that as a name, just giving an example! )

I think it depends on the specific combo, but for me it would be too much as a general rule. I've always disliked Beyoncé's Blue Ivy because it sounded like a kind of plant more than a name in that combo. I'd be more likely to use Juniper Jane than Juniper Wren, for example, but like most things, that's just a matter of personal taste. I don't think your kid will be scarred or teased for a name like Magnolia Fern (both of which are lovely choices, btw).

Maybe? Depending, like others said, on how specifically nature-y the names sound. But you shouldn't let that stop you if they are the names you like!

Ditto everyone else. I tend to think it's probably too much but it depends on the names.

I like it I love the name Magnolia and I think Magnolia Fern sounds really sweet! Maybe you can branch into other nature names if you get to hung up on tree-tree or something like that!
