We live in a smaller neighborhood (about 25 homes), with lots of little kids. The kids all walk back home from the bus together. The other day, one of the little 5-year-old boys saw a little frog on the ground. He put his foot over to step on it, I went 'NO DON'T DO THAT!', he smiled... and then he stepped on it and killed it. My daughter (also 5) was absolutely horrified.

Is this normal?? I mean, I guess I can understand squishing an ant or something (although we don't and teach respect to all animals, big or small) - but a little baby frog???

I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.
