What is your kid weirdly into these days?
My 3yo is super into ears. Specifically the “jelly part” (as he calls it) at the bottom. He’s always trying to take my earrings off to touch them. He will walk around saying “mommy ear mommy ear” and he once fell asleep holding onto it.
He’s also super into pretending to be a baby kitten

My 3-1/2 year old DS has been obsessed with ears forever, he loves to rub the soft part too! Usually his, sometimes his baby sisters.
Lately he's obsessed with my belly which is super annoying, lol. He likes to lay on it, I think to hear the way it sounds. He'll run up and rub it sometimes, or give me a hug and plaster his ear to my belly.

@bhbee: my 28 month old loves to "pop the tummy" - push on our belly buttons til we squeal.
he's also OBSESSED with fire alarms- wherever we go, he likes to point them out and reminds me of their presence multiple times. Bonus if they have a "yight" (light) on them
But his true love are MACHINES- vacuums, trimmers, blowers, weed whackers and the lawnmower. He know the differences in them, how to put oil in, how to pull the cord, if they're "sleeping" (off). "Va-va" was his first word, 8 months before he said Mama. We just watch people doing yardwork around town. it's so creepy.

School buses! My 2 year old loses his mind with joy when he sees one. We live right by the elementary school so we saw ten in a row one day and I honestly thought he might pass out.

My 3.5 year old likes to pretend to be my pet dog and she likes to fetch stuff... Not an obsession, but a weird hobby haha!

2.5 year old spends every car having conversations with herself. Its kind of like she's planning a future conversation or sometimes reliving a past one. The most recent
"I give uncle Dylan a birthday card and a new shirt and have cake with him and he say "yum yum that's good" and I say that too. Then I say "it's my birthday" and Uncle Dylan say "no silly it's my birthday" and I say "hahahaha" and Uncle Dylan laugh. Uncle Dylan is a funny guy."

He likes to be a bunny eating grass and carrots off the floor everywhere, including while waiting for swim class to start on the pool deck. He has to carry a million toy cars around. Loves sirens on vehicles which feels a little weird to get super excited when we see a police car, ambulance or fire truck rushing to an accident

We bought my DD1 (almost 3) a new rash guard/swim suit and she has yet to take it off for anything except a bath.

My soon-to-be-2-year-old always wants to go in the kitchen. Not sure why - we don't play in there (too small to have a dedicated "kid" drawer) and she never really indicates what she wants when she goes in. Bizarre!

This isn’t super unusual but my 3 year old is obsessed with Frozen (and she’s never even seen the whole movie but we listen to soundtrack all the time). She’s reassigned all of us frozen names and never slips up, for weeks now my poor DH is always Hans, our dog is Sven, cat is Duke (of wealston) and she rotates back and forth between Anna and Elsa and her little sister is “little Anna.” We’re going to a birthday party with a princess as entertainment and a friend asked her what princess she thought would be there and she pointed to herself and was like “THIS princess will be.”

Two and three year olds crack me up with how weird they are. I love it. My almost 3 yo is obsessed with construction equipment (not unusual) and large vehicles. But he also hates when I wear necklaces or bracelets (“take that neck off, mommy”) and he loves to count things but especially loves to count his poops (*sigh*).
