Since I haven't gone into labor I want to order some things to have around. DD has some hand me down's, but I'm thinking of getting a Sophie, and some carseat/stroller toys. What are your favorites?

@sunny: ditto. LO loved both of those! Mirrors (safe for baby ones) were good too.

@sunny: Nice! I have the piano mat & just ordered Sophie!
@hilsy85: I do keep seeing that brand everywhere!

An activity mat (one with stuff that dangles) and an exersaucer (for 4+ months). Those two things were Xander's favorite twos for the longest time! Then he got into blocks.

This is the BEST! It was the first toy she turned her head for and she loved the mirror. Then it became a teether.
And still fun for my 8 month old - it's her little lovey.

A winkel for sure!! It was the first toy my LO played with. She's 15 months and still likes it!

Not really a toy but my LO loves wubbanubs. He also still loves his fisher price seahorse that sings at 7 months.

@lawbee11: @regberadaisy: to me that looks so boring hahaha! but I read about it and can totally see why it's a good toy!

My baby loves the Skwish. She's 3 months on Monday.
There are a lot of other toys we/she loves, but they are Montessori/not mainstream.

@snowjewelz: It's great because it's easy for them to grab onto!

@snowjewelz: my son never liked sophie but looooved the mushroom dude!

My LO is just 6 months and is really just starting to "get" toys, but these were the things that did keep his attention over the last 6 months:
Kick & Play Piano
Skwish
Take A Long Tunes
Link Rings
Also, for the last month or so, he is LOVING the exersaucer and doorway jumper!

@BadgerMom: ugh exersaucer is the one thing I am not excited to buy b/c it's so gigantic!

@snowjewelz: I know! But he lets me feed the dogs and get everything ready for daycare while he entertains himself in it in the mornings so right now it's totally worth it. I will say though, we could have probably skipped the exersaucer if we would have had more doorways to hang the door jumper in. That is his real love but we only have a few places to hang it. And I like it because it's a small footprint and easily removable.

My kids LOVE the Lamaze robot. They have a peacock too, but both prefer the robot. We also have a rattle called the noggin stick that they like. It lights up and has a mirror on the bottom! They were really into mirrors early on!

@twodoghouse: Jacques the peacock is the biggest hit in our house. I always but it for baby shower gifts. Chloe calls it Pea-Jacques hahaha

DS had a cloth book which had that crinkly crispy stuff inside which he loved! In fact he went mad for anything that made that crinkly sound!

Kick and play piano! Plus the anything that has that crinkly stuff - books, stuffed animals, etc
