Federal: abolish the Federal Reserve, stop illegal immigration, stop bombing random countries / severely cut the defense budget.

State: more achool choice via vouchers, legalize marijuana, implement state run universal health care.

I would also support getting rid of our current welfare programs and replace them with a universal basic income. That would provide a safety net that the working poor could benefit from. But I list this one separately because it's probably the least likely to happen on my list.

Abortion rights and educational issues terrify me. DeVos makes me want to curl up in a ball and cry.

1. Tax reform, ideally to a flat tax, but I doubt that lobbyist would ever allow it.

2. Education going to the state level only and no longer controlled at a federal level.

3. Insurance opened to interstate open market.

Federal: national security, taxes, gun rights
State: sanctuary cities, crime punishment, education

1. Food security - I garden for fun and I grew up on a farm. Most supermarkets only have a 3 day supply of food on hand at any given time. The supply chains are long and fragile. And that doesn't even touch the people in the US who are hungry because they're poor.

2. Climate change - closely related to food security, actually. Climate change is going to cause massive droughts, extreme storms, and unpredictable growing seasons. It will be nearly impossible for agricultural systems to provide food for the number of people who need it. If we don't start working together against climate change now, the wet bulb temperatures are likely to make most of our current homes uninhabitable within the next 50 years.

3. Degrowth - basically dismantling capitalism and rapidly shifting to a carbon neutral or carbon negative system is the only hope our children will have to live fulfilling lives as adults.
