Any ideas for a non-toy birthday gift for a 3 year old boy? I asked the Mom if they had any birthday gift requests- and all she said was they have way too many toys. I was thinking books or learning flashcards.... what do you think? any ideas?

Bath things like the color tablets that change the water's color, or maybe a pass to a local kids place, such as gymboree or open play at a gymnastics place? Even a museum or zoo pass for the family? My LO is 2 and those are all things that I'd love to get when she turns 3.

We had MIL take her shoe shopping at a proper kids shoe store where they measuer and properly fit running shoes for kids. DD got a sick new pair of New Balance sneakers that are hot pink and neon yellow
