What did you give up when you become a parent?

    Sleep. That's definitely the biggest for me. I'm high sleep needs and I have an almost 9 month old who isn't sleeping through the night. Im so ready for sleep.

    Lesurely dinners out. When we go out now it's a mad dash to eat and get home before bed time. Hardly worth it.

    Not having to work around nap schedules.

    @Truth Bombs: this. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything I did before, I still do most of it. But it has to be scheduled and I end up feeling a little guilt over it. Miss the spontaneity and being carefree.

    My job. Which sometimes I miss and sometimes I'm A-OK with.

    Free time.
    Working out regularly.
    Leisure cooking (haha)

    We have two kids now though, and the baby is 6 months. I feel like we're still adjusting to life as a family of 4, I'm hoping we can get back to having some personal time (including working out) back when the baby gets a little older... I also used to love coming home after work with a glass of wine and some music experimenting/cooking and making a nice meal. That NEVER happens now, but I'm sure someday I'll cook for fun again!

    * sleeping in
    * time to work out
    * business travel for the most part

    I wouldn't change a thing 😍

    Doing whatever I want, whenever I want.
    Being lazy. I have to keep up on chores and life after a long day working and then parenting. There is no downtime anymore.

    Exercising more
    Long hikes
    Dinners at restaurants that aren't toddler friendly
    Facials
    Buying clothes for me
    Drinking more than 1 glass of wine or more than 1 beer when I'm not pregnant
    Long quiet car rides to the beach or mountains

    I am looking forward to seeing how things evolve as LO gets older. Hopefully we'll exercise as a family when he's a few years older. And maybe he'll like going to eat sushi.
