I just did socks. I didn't really spend money on shoes until she was walking.

Socks!

I would think socks at 6 months is fine! Now that LO is almost 11 months and trying to walk, shoes are a little more important! I really like moccasins for her now--they are easy to crawl and walk in!

haha, Xander wore pjs for pretty much the first year of his life! So either footed pjs, or socks, or he went barefoot!

I did socks until she would pull them off. Then it just got pointless to put anything on her feet. I still send her with bare feet. The socks and shoes always come off.

@nana87: Oh and the Trumpettes socks with fold over cuffs never came off my LO.

Ditto to the footed pants / pjs, socks or barefoot. We didn't start using shoes until he walked outside places we didn't want him barefoot, and still don't even at 2.5. He's barefoot or in socks now at daycare. They put his shoes on at the end of the day for pick up, but that's because he walks to the car.

Socks when it's cool, barefoot when it's hot. I've just started putting her in soft-soled shoes to get her used to them since she'll wear them this winter.

LO wore shoes for the first time to school today! She is cruising a lot and taking steps now so I thought we probably should. Before that she was going barefoot since the weather has been warm. I actually asked her teacher before we started and she said it was up to us. I've noticed a variety in the class but the younger babies are usually barefoot.

At 6 months (and now at 10), DD doesn't wear anything on her feet at daycare. When I first sent her at 3 months it was still cold so she wore socks.

@nana87: I never cuff em, i pull them way up like L is an 80 year old man wearing nothing but underpants and socks...

@Adira: same. we kept her in footed pj's with a sleeveless onesie underneath to keep the belly covered when changing diapers.

We probably did this until she was standing up and trying to walk. Then we changed to socks and robeeze soft soled shoes.

Just socks. Most of the socks we bought from Carter's had grippies on them.
