M was born, rolled over, sits up on his own, crawls, says a few words and is starting to pull up! Busy year for this guy!

D started 2nd grade and is hitting all the milestones a kid his age could get.

Well considering that she was merely 4 months old when 2014 began, she's accomplished a lot! Rolling, smiling, crawling, "singing", walking, feeding herself with a spoon (She's not great at it but does pretty good, it's recent and I was surprised!) she's talking a ton (has about 70 words not including parroting things that catch her attention) and she has recently taken a huge interest in her ABC's. She loves to point at all the letters and attempt to sing/say their names (She's not even close but it's cute). She seems to be more inclined to verbal milestones than physical ones, at least at this stage in her life.

DS-crazy actually because I am looking at a 3 year milestone chart and he has mastered most of them already and it not yet 2.5. it's amazing because I think back to when I had DD and he was 17 months old, how many of these he has mastered so quickly AND how many he wouldn't have been able to do this time last year at 15 months old.

follows instructions with 2-3 steps
says first name, age, sex
names friends
says words like "i" "me" "we" and "you"
carries on a conversation using 2 to 3 sentences
shows concern for a crying friend (even his sister, tells her "it's okay, don't cry."
turns book pages one page at a time
builds towers of more than 6 blocks
understands what two means
counts 0-10 in english and spanish
recites all letters A-Z and letter ID

DD-pretty much all to at least 9 months and some 1 year--says mama/dada, pulls to stand, understands no, waves hi/bye

LO is finally having a bit of a language explosion (he's almost 2). he's still probably behind the curve, but it has made me feel much more at ease about his language development.

This has been a huge year for us:

1. mostly potty-trained
2. language explosion, she's talking in full sentences, has conversations, jokes, ect. uses the correct pronouns, knows names, ect.
3. moved to big girl bed
4. knows the alphabet, counts to 15, know all her animal sounds, knows several songs that she sings loudly
