Before you started TTC/got pregnant/started reading about it, what did not *not* know about the process, or what did you think you knew (but had wrong)? Some of mine:

I did not know that there were only a few days a month a woman could get pregnant, though I did know it was unlikely during your period.

Relatedly, I didn't know sperm could live up to 4 or 5 days in there!

And additionally, my mother and grandmother always told me short cycles = a short pregnancy. They each had 22-24 day cycles, and had their babies after 8.5 or so months. I always believed this was true and would happen to me also...though I have learned now that cycle length is not related (does it take a woman with a long cycle a year to have a baby? NO!!).

I also never did the math that it's 10 months to get to 40 weeks. I didn't notice that until a few friends got pregnant.
