@littlek: we have the Little Partners learning tower. It's SO sturdy and heavy and M loves being up there. Sometimes, if I'm trying to get things done, she'll even eat meals up there. We have it up against our island.
She will be 1 and a half at Christmas. We're done shopping for her for Christmas and the bigger items are used:

My parents are getting her (us) a family membership to the local kids museum. They will also get her other things but that's the big one I asked for.

Also, a book, some new clothes and a forward facing car seat (so fun) (: I asked my parents and inlaws not to her her anything since her birthday is a week before and she has so much already...but if they insist on something, I wouldn't mind a learning tower or a playhouse. I'm still working on her list. We were planning on a play kitchen but the grandparents already spoiled her with one.

@littlek: going to get the little partners one in light wood! Since I'm home with him and do a lot of cooking it seems like we will use it a lot. Otherwise he just whines to be held while I cook so he can see what's going on.

I feel like a grinch. My LO might only get one gift and I'm still not sure what to get her, I'm thinking a mini boden snowsuit. My sister is getting her a pair of boots.

LO will be 5 months, and we're doing the "want, need, wear, read" thing. My parents will spoil her, and she will have yet to know the difference. I'm sure she'll just want to mouth the tree ornaments.

@locavore_mama: We don't have the room for one. That's why the play kitchen we are looking for has to be small...waiting on the possible one we want to go on sale. I love the Ikea play kitchen but it's too big. I also wish we could get a learning tower but no space. Our kitchen is so small we can barely fit a chair in there for her to stand on!

We just want one toy for her-- which would be a play kitchen, and then I guess we'll ask for play kitchen food from my in-laws. I think BIL is getting her a child's recliner from Costco (cheaper than PBK Anywhere chair and it looks comfier/cooler!), and some clothes, books. We're doing a toy purge this weekend and will only leave our 2 big things and 5-7 smaller things for her to play with... girl is overwhelmed (and so is our living room)!
She'll be 17 months.

@HabesBabe: omg there's a little recliner we saw at a furniture store years ago that matches our set. I told DH we should get it but he mentioned that we'll probably be replacing our set in the next few years. And I have a PBK Gift card for $50 and I just won't buy anything else from there.

@bunnylove08: Don't feel like a grinch! The only thing WE bought her was the anywhere chair and that's because I think they are adorable, so it's really for me. Our family just spoils our LO rotten because she's the only grandchild on both sides (for about 24 more hours as my brother's wife is in labor right now!)

@MamaMoose: OMG that damn ELEPHANT. My LO doesn't even care about the damn balls, those are all scattered throughout the apartment. But she loves the music and presses it over and over and over and dances to it. It was cute the first 500 times. Ok, it's still cute but it's annoying as hell, too.

So far I know I am getting LO the banana training toothbrush/teether thingie, and a set of giraffe lovey blankets (pair and a spare). And some books. Is that super lame??? He will be 9 months at Christmas time.
I know my parents and IL's are going to go nuts and buy toys. And they won't listen to me and buy the toys I actually WANT him to have. 
I did create a wishlist on amazon and it included some feeding related things like spoons, and sippy cups, size 12 months pajamas and a few toys like stacking rings and a v-tech walker (based on recommendations here).
