Bee and I used to live in a doorman building, and the main doorman quickly learned Bee's name. One day he saw us both, and called out Bee's name... but had clearly forgotten mine. So he ad-libbed and referred to me as "Mister Bee."
Shortly afterward, Bee launched a website and I had acquired my new nickname.

My name isn't Olivia, but when I was little I really wanted it to be so my imaginary friend was Olivia Oblivia. She was awesome.

It is what my dad wanted to name me when I was born but my mom would have none of that. Dad wanted Penny-Lane and Mom compromised with Somethingelse-Lainne. I figured PennyLainne was fitting for me.

We started calling our son "booger boy" early on. Have no idea why since he wasn't a particularly snotty baby either. But it stuck. Then I started calling him "boogie boy" so he doesn't think we're mean parents and now we just call him "boogie". Bea is short for our daughter Beatrice. Haven't come up with any other nicknames for her yet. I call her "monchi" sometimes because I think she looks like monchichi.

In Canada, Smarties are chocolate covered candies like M&Ms. For years and years growing up, the Smarties ads demanded that you 'eat the red ones last'. For me, red Smarties were always the best, and even though I'm sure they taste the same as the other colours, I was convinced they tasted better.

MissJYC on weddingbee ! LOL i wanted something simple. so i just went with miss + my initials... by the time i made it over here, it was 1+ year of marriage in.. so naturally i changed to mrs.JYW (my married name initials)

I had a hard time with my username. It was something else until Mr Bee kindly changed it because it was the same name as my twitter account. At that time we were TTC and I didn't want anyone to know. SO...I came up with mediagirl. I've worked in TV in one form or another since I was in College and figured, this works just fine.

It's a nickname a roommate of mine gave me in college, based on my first and middle names. It's not super creative, but whenever I read it, I can hear her saying "Oh, MaisyMay!" usually because I'd done something to make her laugh.

a forum name I've had since I was about 16. People from one particular forum, who I'm friends with in real life, started calling me and introducing me to new people as twist. I get twist, twisty, twistypoo, twisted, etc. I got the idea originally from a Metric song, and it just kinda stuck as a nickname.
