It snowed last night! But then it rained, so the snow turned into slush - not good for playing.
It's gonna rain again in an hour or so, so we're going to take a walk with the kids. Tomorrow we might go to Central Park with some friends, if it isn't too cold or wet.

Not much during the day. DH has a band over he's recording so I'll be listening to drums for 10 hours. I have a friend coming over tonight for dinner and a few drinks so I'm looking forward to that!

Lazy morning, then I'm going to my friend's sprinkle (we are due on the same day) and then I'll probably work on the nursery some more when I get home. Maybe install the infant car seat! Exciting! Haha

it snowed here, sitting at home while they plow, doing schoolwork. taking a break because i am getting frustrated, i'm trying to remain civil & that's becoming a challenge so it's best i walk away & come back to it later (it's a discussion on americans knowledge of religions, touchy subject area). i slept really late this morning, which is unusual for me, so i'm feeling great & rested for a change! now i'm going to see if i can pull a game night together for tomorrow since i don't really have any plans this wk end other than schoolwork.

Oh man, I woke up and got dressed, walked down to the train and went almost halfway to work before I realized that IT IS SATURDAY AND I DON'T WORK. One of those days, ha.

We're in Philly for a little overnight trip! DH is at a conference so I took LO to the Please Touch Museum this morning and he had a blast. Now back at the hotel....hoping he naps and then we're heading back to New York around 4. I was hoping we'd have time for the indoor pool but I don't think it is in the cards.

I have a cold but its beautiful in Portland! 61 degrees and sunny and a good friend is in town. She is taking me for a fancy childfree babymoon brunch downtown this afternoon whilst my husband watches our son. Supposed to be nice tomorrow too. Hope this cold subsides soon.

@mrbee: they are in the basement and our rooms are up on the 3rd floor but even with 3 fans you can still hear them, I have no idea how they sleep through them. They must just be used to it.

Just got back from a pre-school tour (it was wonderful) while my friends watched LO. About to go get a snack at a cafe then come home and watch Tinkerbell. Tonight is date night for DH and I! Woo hoo! It's been a while. We're going to see Selma and have dinner.

Started a load of laundry, haven't switched it yet. Cleaned our bathrooms. Went to the grocery store with DH. Almost barfed in the aisle but didn't (thanks morning sickness). Got home, ate a grilled cheese b/c I was finally hungry and now I feel like death again so I'm laying on the couch. I'm sooo ready to get out of the first tri.

I had a lovely lie in this morning (thanks DH), then we went out for lunch as a little family. This afternoon, we did a bit of shopping then cleaned the house. This evening , we are eating steak for dinner and perhaps enjoying a glass or two of red wine.

Dealt with a sick toddler (congested, coughing, hoping it's nothing more than a bad cold), took apart my daybed and trundle from when I first moved here single and in graduate school, donated it to a Habitat ReStore, LO is napping with coughs, probably more inside time today with loads of laundry.

Been a good day here! Beautiful outside. Got up for a run with my running gals. Took DD to the pedi for her well child check. Came home cleaned/started laundry. Went to lunch at a new restaurant which opened in walking distance. Played with the kiddos outside for a bit and now they are napping while I sit on the patio on this unusually warm January day!

A super rare Saturday off for my husband, we did the Color Run this morning, so I am still shedding glitter. We are having one of those blessed, rare double naps, so I'm in the middle of a bunch of lesson plans until they wake up then we'll go out for an early dinner and then back to lesson plans for me.

Today I got back to my old routine - yay! I went to pilates (though I felt like a turtle on it's back, lol) then counseling. Picked up groceries, went home and took the best nap after lunch. It's the little things

I'm kinda tired and nauseous today so we just ran some errands to the library, Costco and supermarket. LO 1 had a class this morning but it was cancelled. I watching some Dateline while the LOs nap!

Today I tried to get some work done while DH took LO around and this afternoon/evening I have tried not to run away from home because my daughter is being a pill!

We went to a bday party in Brooklyn at a really cool play space. It was our first outing as a family of four and it went well! Then we bought some pies from a great pie place...chicken pot pie and apple pie. Then just spent the rest of the day inside watching movies and playing.

Heavenly weather here in Oregon. We spent the day doing yard work, then we took a long bike ride to the part and to dinner. My first long ride since getting into my second trimester, so it felt really good.
