I'm Korean and hubs is Chinese.

We're both white with Irish backgrounds. I'm 1/4 German, 1/4 Irish and not sure of the other half, other than just Caucasian. Don't tell my Gram that I'm claiming 1/4 German, though. She likes to forget that about her heritage. She proclaimed herself Irish when she married my very Irish Grandpa.

We are both Chinese Canadian!

Filipina American. My parents came here from the Philippines in their 20s. I was born and raised here.

Both primarily Scottish and Scandinavian.

I'm 7/8 African American and 1/8 Native American. Husband is African American.

DH is Filipino, and I'm Filipino Chinese. We were both born and raised here in the US.

I am Chinese. DH is German/Polish. We were both and raised in America.

Korean. DH is 1/2 polish & 1/2 german.

My dad's family has been in the US since the 1700's (we have the deeds to the land going back that far), so he's all English. Mom's mom is German/English but have been here since the 1800's and her dad's is English / Cherokee (his mom was full Cherokee Indian).
Hubs parents are both of Irish descent, great-grandparents came over in the 1800's.

I also LOVE HelloBee for learning about other cultures, I feel like I've learned sooooo much from my otherwise sheltered life :o)

I'm chinese and hubs is caucasian.

My mom is french, welsh, scottish-irish, my dad is chinese. One of my sisters used to say, "Oh, I'm half chinese." and my mom would correct her and say, "You are half-nothing; you a whole mix of wonderful cultures and history that blend to make a beautiful, strong girl." My sister would look at her and say, "But, I'm still half Chinese."

I'm a Black American. I don't know as much about my mom's family as i do about my dad's. My mom says her folks have been here since the days of slavery and that there's some French Canadian ancestors. Her dad was adopted so she doesn't know where his people were from.

My dad came to America (and has been a citizen for a couple of years now) when he was about 15 with the rest of his family. They are from Guyana, South America (it's the only English-speaking country in SA and was formerly a colony of the British and the Dutch). We can trace his family's ancestry back to India and West Africa.

I'm Vietnamese and hubs is German/other random Euro stuff mixed in.
