I got a light positive today (yay!!) at 10DPO. I feel a little silly calling my OB just in case it doesn't stick. When I had DS I was working with an RE so I didn't schedule anything with the OB until after a few betas, maybe 6w or so?
When is the appropriate time to call your OB and let them know you think you're pregnant?

Congrats! I called as soon as I had a positive, but I was closer to 6 weeks when I found out with LO1, and probably called around 6 weeks with LO2 since it took me some time to find a new OB.

I called as soon as I got a positive, and my first visit with the nurse was schduled for a few weeks later. Actually with my second I called the day after my period was due, which was several days after I got a positive

@ShootingStar: Yes, but we moved between babies, so it was an entirely different practice/hospital, and they needed to get me established there. I don't know if it's any different if it's the same practice.

Congratulations! Since a 10DPO test is pretty early, I would maybe wait until 12-14DPO and keep testing. Then I would see if they can call in an order for the Betas if you want that done. With my second I was able to go straight to seeing the OB, I didn't have to have a nurse consult.

I called when I was technically 1 day late. My office takes forever to get in to. With DD they didnt have me come in until I was 7w or so for the dating US - this time they had me come in a few days after I called for a blood test to confirm.

With pregnancy 1 and 3, I didn't know how far I was, I went in for a dating scan. With DD, pregnancy 2, I called after I had missed my period.

I had a faint positive that I didn't believe/trust my eyes on on Friday. I had a strong positive on Sunday. I called my OB on Monday and set up my first appointment.

With LO1, I called as soon as I got the positive and my primary dr ordered the blood tests for betas. Once it was confirmed, I went to an OB around 6 weeks and did an internal ultrasound. This doc in particular was pretty liberal with ultrasounds.
With LO2 and LO3, they had me wait to come in until after 8 weeks. They didn't do anything prior to confirm the pregnancy.

I tested on a sunday and just so happened to have my yearly already scheduled for the next day.... they set me up to come in at 8 weeks for my "first" prenatal appt

A few days after my BFP, because it was the weekend and I waited until I had time to call during the week. But I knew they wouldn't schedule it until 8-10 weeks anyway. Both times I was completely sure of my dates.

I called after I missed my period. But my OB doesn't schedule the 1st appointment until you are 8 weeks or so (based on your last period), so I waited for about 4 weeks to see her.

I was seeing a RE so I was still seeing them until I was 9 weeks, but they suggested I call my OB to get an appt in around 8 weeks. I called around 6 weeks because I was told that some offices fill up faster.

I called right away for DS1 and they set up appt for 6 weeks. With DS2 I was seeing an RE already.
