Second day for both kids. My milk wasn't in and I wanted to give them formula. LO 2 took a bottle great for 2 weeks before I switched to bfing FT. It took a little work to reintroduce the bottle for daycare a few months later.

5th day. every nursing session was followed by a bottle of formula to supplement. it didn't interfere with our nursing.

DD's ped suggested starting bottles around 3 weeks and making sure to give one at least 3-4x per week. We did this and never had any nipple confusion or problems with her taking the bottle.

Hmmm...I think it was around a month? Though I can't say for sure....it might have been earlier, but definitely no later. Though really, his first feed was a bottle because he spent his first 6 hours in the NICU. After that we breastfed with no issues. And then once we introduced the bottle again at home, again, no issues with nipple confusion or anything. FWIW, we used Tommee Tippee bottles because when I was shopping for bottles, I thought they most resembled a boob.

Charlotte was 6 or 7 days old when we introduced a bottle. It never interfered with my supply or caused nipple confusion.

ETA: my girl prefers it straight from the tap. She'll take a bottle if I'm not around. If she hears my voice it's game over!

L was given bottle at birth since he was in the NICU. I kept that up for a few months (until 2 months I think) and then I got lazy and quit pumping. He never confused bottle or nipple those first 2 months. Once I stopped, I could NOT give him a bottle again. He flat out refused to take a bottle and he didn't take one ever after that. He went straight to a straw cup.

So... with my personal experience, I would say introducing sooner is better.

Around 3 weeks with both LOs. I WOH/WAH and have not had issues with confusion, latch, or botte refusal. We use the comotomo bottles.

2 months, but that was also when we started supplementing bc my supply was low. She took the bottle great then though!

Between 3 and 4 weeks with Xander. He never had an issue going back and forth though - we were lucky.

One day shy of 3 weeks. DH gave him a bottle and I was able to sleep for 3.5 consecutive hours and it was amazing. Now DH gives him a bottle in the morning and the few times I've just nursed him instead (when travelling) he's been find.

About 2 or 3 weeks, pretty much bc I feared too much of a boob attachment, which I am just not cut out to handle. One of my friends advised me to do it early on and I'm so thankful.

I gave him a bottle of pumped BM at 5 days old. He went back and forth from bottle to breast with no issue. He probably had one bottle every 2-3 days until I went back to work at 8 weeks.

We introduced one at 4 weeks, it didn't last long though (I didn't want to pump) but she was fine when she did have a bottle - no nipple confusion

M had to have formula/bottle from 3-5 weeks because of my gallbladder issues, but since I got through that, he hasn't had one (7.5 months) and now won't take one.

But, he's doing pretty good with a sippy.

E took some bottles in NICU, since then no bottles. He flat refuses them now. He is 9 months. Part of me wishes he would take one every now and then. I miss sleep, he won't even take a sippy cup either.

Not until 10 weeks to get her ready for daycare.

we introduced them around 4 weeks and she would take them up until 6 weeks, and then flat out refused until i went back to work. then she would only take a bottle from my mom, no one else.

I think around 3 weeks. Then we did a small bottle every other day after that to make sure he stayed used to it. I have friends who introduced the bottle, then stopped for a couple weeks, and the baby never took a bottle after that.

My 2 month old will take a bottle, but for whatever reason he stays really unsettled after. The last time I did this he decided to cluster feed the next few hours.
